Instant Favourite
Happy youngster got this for his birthday (6). He really likes board games and this has been his favourite. Older brothers enjoy well. Pieces are quality, washable, and mostly go back into the box in reasonable order, as it is well-enough laid out and robust enough. Star reward system as points is easy to score up quickly, while the jokers are sought after to enhance the game. Easy to learn, easy to play, but is still compelling and possible to become skilful in.

Easy to understand and okay
We bought this to play with our grandchildren. We already have the adult version. It was easy for them to understand and play. Great wee game

Great introduction to Rummikub for kids
I tried a different version of this, called ‘Rummikub for kids’ by Pressman, which I got secondhand, but it was really complicated. It had pictures of animals instead of numbers. This version is much simpler, and lays the foundation for understanding the adult version of the game. I played it with my 5 year old and she got the hang of it pretty quickly. She particularly loved getting stars, and counting up the number of stars she had at the end. If you’re looking for a junior version of the adult game, I would definitely recommend this one.
