Simple, easy to use.
I got this to help me with my second year of study, when I had to tackle the medicines management unit. This book was very helpful, as it presents everything in an easy to understand format and is very comprehensive.I still keep it in my bag to provide a quick reminder if something slips my mind. I am sure that it will remain on my 'most used books' list right up until they bring out a new edition! ;)

student midwives need this book
perfect for all student midwives and qualified. When it arrived it was so small I thought I was going to be disappointed, not so. Used it to complete my drugs log for my portfolio, gives information on each drugs safety in pregnancy and safety in breast feeding. Light weight so you can keep it in your pocket at work/placement.

outdated.
Majority of medications used today are not in the book. super disappointing when I go to look something up quicky and its not there. for example, nothing on oxycodone, (endone and targin) which are used daily on the ward. several oxytocics missing, and none of the current antacids other than ranitidine. its also a shame that it doesnt state administration in terms of compatible fluids, slow push etc. I have to hunt down the IV drug book on the ward anyway.
