Worked as presented
The mount was easy to install, but you must drill a 2 inch hole in your podium. The rubber insulator seems to work, but when you adjust microphone you will need to hold it at two places or else the rubber will give and result in more adjusting. I think it will work great for us, even though it is mounted and tested, we have not been able to have a full house of people due to covid-19 . When that happens we will know for sure.

Pretty good when used with the right mics
These things do their job well and look nice and stylish, but if you are looking to put a nice singing quality mic on a goose-neck, look for the heavier ones as this guy can't handle the weight. If you are looking to get those lightweight tiny podium mics like I did, then this is your perfect match. Easy to install and look very nice once in place... very sleek and non-distracting.

Shock proof too.
It was easy to install. Also shock proof. I wasn’t really expecting much. Glad I added it to the podium. Looks way more professional than a mic stand.

IT WILL DO THE JOB BUT INSTEAD OF AN XLR CONNECTION ON THE BACK YOU HAVE TO WIRE IT IN DIRECTLY? PRETTY STUPID IN MY OPINION TO HAVE TO RUIN AN XLR CABLE TO HOOK IT UP.

Not What I Was Looking For
I bought this thinking that the back was a male XLR plug. The picture on the web site doesn't show the back, just one picture of the front. It's probably great but I can't use it.

Great isolation
Great sound isolation. Mic (small slim cartridge like a lavalier) tilts a bit due to weight of mic and slimline flex boom but does a great job.

classical mic plug for a podium/ambo.
Screws are an easy way to connect the three throng wires for your mic. It isolates noise from the podium to transfer to the mic. It does a good job. This replaced an older mount of the same thing, which lasted over 20yrs.
