Lion Brand Yarn, 24/7 Cotton Yarn, Pink, 3 Pack

I absolutely love this Lion Brand 24/7 Cotton Mercerized yarn in Spruce! I originally bought my first skeins directly from the Lion Brand website and then ordered the rest I needed here on Amazon to finish my project. The color is beautiful in person a rich, clean spruce green that works perfectly for my crochet Daisy granny square blanket I’m making . One thing I really appreciate is that the yarn is easy to work with. It crochets smoothly, doesn’t split easily, and feels sturdy without being stiff. Which is really nice as a beginner. It’s also really good value for money considering the quality and yardage you get in each pack. The yarn is soft for a cotton and holds up really well for things like bags, dishcloths, and wearable items. A heads-up about dye lots: mine from the Lion Brand website and Amazon were different, but luckily I genuinely can’t tell the difference in color. Still, I’d recommend buying a little more than you think you need at once, just to make sure you get matching dye lots if that matters for your project. Overall, this yarn is reliable, beautiful, and beginner-friendly while still being great for experienced crocheters. I’ll definitely be buying it again.

This is 100% (mercerized) 4/medium worsted cotton. It’s intended to have a different texture and is much more durable than conventional cotton yarn without the loss of a nice feel. The feel and look of a higher quality is obvious once you touch a finished piece. Yes, the yarn feels different than standard yarn. It’s supposed to. It’s processed differently for a reason. This particular yarn is perfect for any project that will be used or handled frequently. It is stronger, doesn’t produce heavy lint, doesn’t get fuzzy or pill up, doesn’t split easily, and is more resistant to mildew. It holds its shape better than regular cotton yarn, and withstands many many washes and tumble dries on a medium heat setting. (Don’t use bleach or fabric softener.) I disagree with the reviews that call it “thread” or dk weight. Not true. Yes, there is a dk version of this brand, but it clearly says dk on the front part of the label. The thickness is comparable of an identical piece stitched with standard cotton yarn. The yarn swatches up just as noted on the label: Crochet Gauge (4in x 4in) 14 single crochets x 19 rows using a G-6 (4 mm) crochet hook Knit Gauge (4in x 4in) 20 stitches x 28 rows using #6 (4 mm) knitting needles Photo 1: My current 24/7 yarn stash is from in-store and Amazon purchases over a several month time span. The overall quality and color of yarn is consistent across the board, regardless of where it was purchased from. This stash is ever changing because of the volume of crocheting I do in my spare time. Photo 2: I use a LOT of this yarn to make simple dishcloths/washcloths for charity fundraisers in our local area. They are a hot commodity because of the durability and how they hold their vibrant color for a long time. Definitely better than any store bought dishcloth/washcloth. Honestly, I can’t make them fast enough. If you’re unsure about Lion Brand’s 24/7 cotton yarn or if you’re unfamiliar with mercerized cotton, try a skein. Don’t judge the yarn until you’ve finished the project. You’ll be pleasantly surprised. This is my honest opinion from my personal experience with this product. I purchase all items at the posted price and do not receive any product or incentive for providing a review.

I love this yarn. It is so soft and easy to crochet with. Great price to.

I recently purchased the 24/7 Cotton® Yarn in the Dragonfly color, and I am thoroughly impressed with its quality and performance. Here’s a detailed review of my experience: Color and Appearance: The Dragonfly color is absolutely stunning. It’s a vibrant, rich hue that stands out and adds a beautiful touch to any project. The color is consistent throughout the skein, with no variations or dye lot issues. Quality of Yarn: The 24/7 Cotton® Yarn is made of 100% mercerized cotton, giving it a smooth, lustrous finish. The yarn feels soft to the touch and is easy to work with. It has a slight sheen that adds a polished look to finished projects. The yarn is also very durable, holding up well to handling and stitching without fraying or splitting. Ease of Use: Crocheting with this yarn has been a pleasure. It glides smoothly on the hook and stitches up evenly, making it perfect for a variety of projects. Whether you’re making garments, accessories, or home décor items, this yarn performs beautifully. It’s especially great for creating detailed stitches and patterns. Pack of 2: The pack of 2 skeins is a convenient option, providing enough yarn for larger projects or multiple smaller items. It’s also a great value, offering high-quality yarn at a reasonable price. Care Instructions: The yarn is machine washable and dryable, which is a big plus for practicality and ease of care. Finished projects can be washed without worrying about shrinkage or color fading. Final Thoughts: The 24/7 Cotton® Yarn in Dragonfly is a fantastic choice for anyone looking for high-quality, beautiful yarn. Its vibrant color, smooth texture, and durability make it a standout option for a wide range of projects. I highly recommend it to crocheters and knitters alike. This yarn will not disappoint!

So first I want to say I really love this yarn. Glides of the hook, doesn't split, colors are gorgeous! Not the softest cotton I ever worked with, but not all cotton is soft, and this one has the exact texture and feel I was looking for. I have to take a star off though due to incorrect labeling when it comes to yarn weight. The label claims it's #4, it is not, more like #3. I needed to match a different yarn that was gifted to me but wasn't enough for my project (and is no longer available for purchase). I have never worked with this yarn before and since it doesn't seem to be available in any of the stores I had to take a leap of faith online, relying solely on pictures and description. This seemed like a perfect match, unfortunately turned out to be too thin..... One would expect more accuracy in labeling from Lion brand. Overall this is a great product, I love it and will definitely use it (probably will buy more too now that I know what I'm getting), just not for what I purchased it for

Beautiful colors and the best yarn I have ever used.

This yarn is absolutely wonderful to work with! I am currently crocheting a tote bag with it and it’s working up beautifully! The color is beautiful, it doesn’t split, and great stitch definition!

In short, the yarn itself is easily five stars IF you want a good quality light worsted, 3, DK, etc yarn on the thinner side. But don't get it if its specifically for a project calling for worsted medium weight weight. The three stars is because the yarn isn't close to the weight it claims to be and I wasn't able to use it for my intended project. Upon the yarn arriving it was evident that the skein was indeed smaller that usual despite having a typical 170m length. This wouldn't have been a problem, but the strands were NOTICEABLY thinner than the worsted weight yarn I had been using. Nevertheless, I decided to proceed with my pattern that called for worsted weight yarn and a 3.75 mm crochet hook. Using a 3.5 mm hook I began my pattern, but stopped after finishing the base because, as you can see, the gaps were too big for my amigurumi and the filling would be showing. I show some comparisons with other worsted weight yarn I had been using. I'm not a wraps per inch expert so take that photo however you want. The color of the yarn is nice and what I wanted/expected. It is cotton which is of course a little harder on the hands, but it is easier on the hands and smoother than Sugar 'n Cream cotton yarn. I agree that it has a nice sheen, especially for cotton. This skein feels pretty hefty for being so small, and this is indeed reflected in how sturdy it is. I would consider this yarn to be soft and comfortable against even my sensitive skin, but it will produce stiffer projects than other soft yarns due to its sturdiness. This yarn DOES NOT split. Perhaps this is because this yarn is made of four strands twisted around each other firmly with each of the four strands being made of two strands twisted together (for an 8 ply?). So Lion Brand 24/7 cotton is a good yarn, but the labeled weight needs to be taken with several grains of salt.

The cotton is very soft and can use for making a quilt

This cotton yarn is beautiful and comes in all sorts of vibrant colours. It's is very easy to crochet with and is well suited for making all types of market bags. There is no piling after lots of handling. The yarn is not as soft as some other cotton yarns but it depends on what you want to crochet but it is in no way a ' rough . Although this is an ' aran ' weight yarn it does feel a little thinner than other brands but it does remain very suitable for patterns that call for aran / wostered weight cotton. The yarn is strong and doesn't split easily and I have not come across any 'knots،،،" It washes like a dream with no colour loss and the colour doesn't run. I highly recommend this product. It is a little expensive, depending of what you are making but it is really worthwhile

Great wool

Soft, smooth and doesn't pill or split easily, but is a little expensive for cotton yarn. Also a little thinner than the average worsted-weight yarn.

Nice quality and the colour is exactly as in the picture
