hello The trumpet instrument package does not include valve oil, which you can purchase and use separately.

Q: Is this trumpet instrument suitable for school bands?

I remember my student Yamaha trumpet from school band. The Yasisid is awesome for the price. Yet, a student would enjoy the more expensive Yamaha or the Sweet Water makes better because the Yasisid "blows hard" compared to the other brands or flavors. My voice range is in middle of the notes on the scale. I am unable to play high or very low notes. The instrument sounds excellent and is tuned by pulling the valve out about a 1/4 of one inch.
