Can you eat the Kefir grains or just the milk liquid it makes or both?

I have read that some people who have more kefir grains than needed put the grains in smoothies. Unless you have excess grains there would be no point as more grains would have to be purchased. Hope that helps.

I am going away for 2 weeks ,how would I keep the Kefir grans alive while away please ?

I would put the grains in milk (double what you usually use) and leave in the fridge which will slow the process down

How many grams of kefir grains are there per sachet?

It's a couple of years since I bought these but then there were about four kefir beads in the sachet which is plenty to start a culture. I would guess that equated to five or so grams.

Suitable for use with goats milk ?

Yes, after some research I found out I could use whole fat goats milk that is not organic (as I can't get hold of any organic goats milk in my area) but it has to be whole fat.
