I bought the Flexi New Classic 8m Retractable Dog Leash for my dog, and it’s been amazing for our walks. Whether we’re exploring wooded paths or strolling through the park, my pup gets the freedom to sniff and roam, while I still have full control. The leash is super strong, perfect for my dog who loves to explore every inch of the trail (or road). It extends smoothly, and the brake system works like a charm when I need to rein him in (squirrels!). The leash handle is comfortable to hold, even on long walks, and the 8 meters of tape give plenty of room for my dog to feel like he’s on his own adventure. It’s rated for dogs up to 50kg, and even though my dog isn’t quite that heavy, it’s nice knowing I have the security if he decides to pull a bit harder. Bonus points for how sturdy it feels, this is not one of those flimsy retractable leashes that makes you worry about it snapping! The leash rolls in and out smoothly, and the tape itself is nice and durable, even after multiple muddy walks. If you’ve got a dog that loves to explore but you still want the comfort of control, this leash is perfect. Plus, it’s surprisingly lightweight for such a strong product!

Bought this because the last lead was from the same company and it lasted for years . It’s very steady and the control are very good and strong ,they tape seems strong and I am very pleased with it .

A nice product that works well initially however over time the braid frays a little meaning it can get stuck when retracting.

Always buy flexi, cant go wrong. They last years

Only just got it but can Immediately tell that it's quality and gonna last. Have bought 3 from another more expensive brand on here which have failed in the locking mechanism. This feels right. Can't fault German engineering eh?..

Nice item but I do agree with many others that the ribbon/tape could be better quality /tougher a webbing would be better..it would add to the weight but ribbon v sharp puppy teeth ? Teeth win hands down so don't take your eyes off your pup as they could be following you chomping on this lead and find themsels off lead. But it is a nice lead nice weight nice lock but shame the ribbon isn't stronger as I said. Update. My lead has issues it started to fail in recoiling which is so unusual for this brand. I contacted the seller who was extremely helpful and sent a new one out immediately. The replacement has far better tension from day one and feels more durable as a result. The seller will also take the issue you with the manufacturer to help keep their products good reputation So lots of praise to the seller and I have a lead I'm happy with. I've realised too that a thicker tape would add weight to carrying the lead and the weight of pulling it fir a small dog so the tape thickness is in fact ideal

I have a small dog that pulls a lot. This lead fits in your hand really well and it is easy to access the switch to lock and unlock the lead. The ribbon is pretty thin so if your dog likes to put the lead in its mouth the lead can fray. I really recommend these leads as they have never broken on me or misfunctioned in any way. The only issue I have is that the ribbon frays but that is due to my dog holding the lead in his mouth. However I will say that the lead has never fully snapped but I did replace the lead when I saw he had gone through about half of the ribbon. Overall this lead has never failed and in fits in my hand really well. I have recommend this to my friends and family and I suggest you give it a try.

Excellent lead. I use it for a German shepherd. If your big dog doesn't have a habit of chewing on theirs then it's great. If they do tend to carry or chew theirs you will have to train them not to do that or they will wear it down

Have two. Work great. We don’t have any nibblers, so I can’t speak to the integrity of the tape. Comfortable and overall easy to use for adult sized hands
