Symbiotics Colostrum Plus - 240 Veg Capsules (new formula) I love this product. I have been using it for well over 20 years. This is a subtle but predictable diet supplement, not a panacea. I cannot make any claims as to its effect on any disease or medical condition for others. That would be a mistake. I will state that this is an ally in the Castaneda sense. This supplement is as a force which makes me feel better. Stronger. More Alert. More energized. When I feel like crap it gives me a boost. I will STILL feel like crap but less so. It may not act the same way for you. It states to take it with a full glass of water on an empty stomach. Absolutely. It states to triple the dose in times of stress. Absolutely. I can notice effects on my skin. It seems to help healing. Not all at once, but cumulatively. If you have autoimmune issues it will help, not cure, help. I said I have been taking this for 20 years before they started adding IgG and lactoferrin.The images listed here provide conflicting information as to the content of the Colostrum Plus. Previously, for the 480mg capsule, the amount of Colostrum was 960 mg; IgG was 192 mg. Proline rich peptides 38 mg, guaranteed 29mg. Lactoferrin 9 mg. I have emailed Symbiotics with this concern May 30th 2018. I will update this review when and if I receive their response. According to the Symbiotics website there are at least two conditions where you should refrain from using this supplement: (1) If you are pregnant or lactating; (2) If you If you are taking any immune suppressing medication. I will add a third caveat: If you are sensitive to iron, as those with alopecia universalis, first check with your specialist if the lactoferrin could present any issues. This I recommend from personal experience with a friend who has that condition. Sincerely. If you have medical issues or any immune impairment you should talk to your doctor about supplement use. It seems most doctors don't recommend supplements. That makes sense since the reputable doctors do depend on the systematized randomized research results that drug companies can afford. The closer you are to your body, how it feels when you are feeling unwell - not sick - unwell. Those of you with autoimmune issues will know what I mean. I have never had any problem with this supplement, and will continue to use it. UPDATE: 5/31/18 I stated the information I provided above regarding the amounts of Colostrum, IgG, Proline rich peptides (PRP's)and Lactoferrin was based on an image. That image information was based on a previous formulation. I received an email response from Naturade, parent company of Symbiotics. According to that email, the amount of Colostrum is now 500mg per capsule, 1000 mg per serving size. This delivers 34% more IgG than previously, with total IgG 250mg per capsule. Due to FDA regulations, precise Proline rich peptide and lactoferrin amounts are no longer listed due to naturally occurring inconsistencies. This causes variations in each batch which can exceed a FDA labeling standard range of plus or minus five percent accuracy.That is for ALL colostrum manufacturers. I was provided with a general guideline that PRP's account for 5%, lactoferrin accounts for 1%, of total colostrum powder consumed. This information is accurate. Finally, I was informed that since the conversion to the 500mg capsule was a "flow through" basis with sellers, it is as the sellers restock that the new formula is obtained. This accounts for why some sellers provide older versions, and possibly why Amazon still had some older images which do not reflect the "new version." Today I also notified Amazon of all this information. I hope this helps.

Where to begin...literally everyone in my household uses this product and it has been an incredible transformation. My boyfriend takes it in a loose powder form that he mixes into his protein shakes. I take capsules every morning. And every day I sprinkle one capsule over my dog's food. 1. Taste: the flavor is like a strong sweet milky taste, so I prefer the capsules so I don't have to taste it - for him, he mixes it with almond milk and vanilla protein so the flavor pretty much disappears. My dog LOVES the taste - at this point she refuses to eat her food until I have sprinkled the colostrum on top! 2. Benefits: For my boyfriend and I, the effects have been great. He already had a pretty strong immune system (he would get sick only once or twice a year). I have a crappy immune system, the slightest temperature change is enough to get me sneezing and congested. With daily intake of colostrum neither one of us have gotten sick ALL year. It's kind of a miracle. But the real miracle is the health transformation for my dog. She is 10 years old and this past year had a really scary health scare - in a nut shell the vet thought her liver was about to fail. They prescribed some antibiotics that really had a bad effect on her, so I immediately took her off the meds and started adding colostrum to her food along with about 1 tsp of fish oil every day. Within 2 weeks her liver enzymes had returned to normal (we're talking hundred of points down from where it was). The vet was so impressed she simply told me to keep doing whatever I was doing. I mean my dog was in danger of needing dialysis and now she's healthy, happy and running around like normal. I'm super grateful just for that. Seems to be safe for anyone with milk allergies or lactose intolerance - though I know it contains some of the same enzymes so definitely check with your doctor first just to be safe. I honestly think everyone should be taking colostrum. It's really THAT good.

I've been using this product consistently for almost a year now.. I work in a high stress environment and am exposed to a lot of different people/germs each day. I used to get sick with a bad head cold every 2 months or so (miserable, I know). Co-workers nagged at me for always being sick (no sick days in my job). I take 2 capsules of colostrum daily, every day, and triple that when I'm feeling run down or feel like something is coming on (as directed). That combined with one packet of Emergen-C daily, and the closest thing I've had to being sick in the past year is a sore throat for a day that culminated in a runny nose the next day and stopped after that. That is HUGE for someone like me who used to be in the pits for weeks at a time for each head cold and taking Dayquil Severe like it was my job just to make it through. One other significant difference for me with the use of these colostrum capsules is the healing of an infected nail bed. My thumb nail was lifting off the nail bed, the nail bed was swollen and the nail discolored (yellowish) for about 6-8 months, while I tried every anti fungal and topical treatment the pharmacist and my Dr. recommended to treat "bar rot" (paronychia). Zero improvements. Roughly 6 months after I started taking the colostrum daily, and about a year after whatever the infection started, my thumb is back to normal. I gave up on all the topicals a while ago, and almost forgot about the thumb issue until my mother (a long time advocate of this product) pointed out that this was the only thing I added to my routine that could have contributed to healing my thumb. Positive independent reviews pertaining to quality so I feel confident taking it. I don't know how it compares to high end colostrum but I can atest to the fact that when I or any any of my family members is having minor intestinal irritation 4 pills clears it up within a number of hours. I've been taking it "daily" for years and if I miss a few days in a row I often notice that I'll get heartburn that subsides when I start taking it again so apparently it's doing something positive.

I bought these because they are highly rated. This was recommended for women to help prevent and reverse osteoporosis. Tasteless and easy to swallow. I have been taking them for a few years now. They didn't completely heal me, but I think it helped prevent things from getting worse.

This is a miracle capsule. I have had a history of the HPV virus for around five years. Shea Whitney on YouTube recommended this product. I started taking it about eight months ago. OMG, my next Pap Smear was normal but still traces of the HPV virus. I took a repeat Pap Smear a month ago. Everything was normal and negative. I attribute this to the colostrum.

I follow Shea Whitney on Facebook and she recommended this product to help keep you from getting sick. I have immunity problems and cannot get sick. If I feel like I'm starting to comedown with something I take this and by the next day I feel better. She does not take it everyday only as needed. I really like it.

Took a few weeks for it to work but def feels great now.

We use this once a day opening two capsules into our blender with Pink Sun Grass Fed Hormone Free Whey Protein Concentrate Powder. Helps with stress, skin, hair and repair the body. For us its a must and this is about the best protein your body can have. Don't think you need lots of protein to build muscle as you would be wrong.

I have only recently started this product so how much it will help me I will have to wait & find out. I believe this to be a good brand I did a lot of research before I bought & I think it is a fair price for the amount. The company I bought it from were very helpful.
