Really compact lightweight waterproof sac, easy to stuff, even when the tent is wet. I really like this tent. Easy and quick to pitch, good groundsheet, and well ventilated.

Q: I need a ten that can fit two people for the heat of Africa aswell as the Cold and extremely windy terrain of Patagonia can this tent do that job?

Hi Sean, I have a Coleman Cobra 2 tent which I have used extensively in the Uk. While not sure about Africa I am certain that it would not stand up to the conditions in Patagonia. The Patagonian winds would tear it apart and the poles are too weak for that environment. Along with this. I use it solo and it is a good fit for myself and my gear, along with a lot of tents it is only really satisfactory for two people for a short weekend trip. I hope that this is of some help, I think that you should really be looking at more expensive tents like those from Terra Nova, Force Ten or Mountain Equipment, I used a M E tent on the Greenland icecap for 3 months with no problem.

Q: How is this tent in cold weather?

Spent a cold and windy night on a coastal cliff in March with no serious problems. It handles the wind really well and I didn't need to use extra guy ropes as I felt it was handling it well. I haven't used it in snow but I have used it in heavy rain and it was leak free. Its quite snug in there and the porch is great for cooking in with care. There is a extra pod on the other side which is ok for storing your rucksack and boots. I have used it next to an instructors Vango Banchee 200 and there is very little to choose between the two. Same weight, the Coleman is wider but lower but its a few cm rather than a meter ! I really am chuffed with mine it feels good quality. I pack the poles separate in my rucksack which means I can get the tent in a smaller 10Lt dry bag saving space. Its well worth the money and at 1.9Kg light for a two man, most one man tents under £200 quid weigh not much less and the extra space on this makes up for the small weight increase. Q: How waterproof is this tent?

In my experience the tent is totally waterproof, it never let any water in during prolonged heavy rain.
