For SMD assembly
I bought this so I could assemble some small SMD PCBs. The handle is large but light weight and the wiring is flexible so it was easy to get the hot air where I wanted it. It gets rapidly upto temperature and the air flow is easily controlled. For this operation it is a bit easy to blow the components off the board but by holding it vertically this problem is mitigated. Board assembly went well and is working fine.

Fantastic rework station for the price
No problems at all desoldering large BGA chips. It heats up and cools down quickly and has a decent airflow. The sleep function is very nice and the included accessories are a nice touch. The metal parts on the handle are properly grounded.

Seems well built enough- not £60 well built though.
Virtually an 858D in construction. Mine arrived without any screws to attach the side handle (and only 2/4 of the screws holding the side handle together to begin with.) Not worth £60.

My Dad Loves It
We have had Tablets etc all of which have had due to children been damaged and needed to be replaced. In the past we have had to pay someone to fix them because we didn't have the kit to do it, but now we do.My dad has already repaired 2 tablets and a phone. He loves it, and his words were "It's not quite Louis Rossmann kit" but it will do the job I want it to.

Very capable item.
This is a great asset if you do soldering, or need to rework solder. It is imperative to follow the instructions otherwise you probably will damage the product, or shorten its life. It is quite adequate for the hobbyist.

Stopped working suddenly
Stopped working for no apparent reason after only a few uses. Unfortunately it's been too long and I can't even return it. First and last time I'm trying this brand! Avoid!

reasonable product for the price
good value for money, however the heat gun stand on the side of the unit is angled the wrong way leaving the hot end very close to the control surface, it is possible to put the gun upside down but its not very stable that way. also the magnet in the holder is very weak.

Not too shabby, will be useful for the tool kit.
Cheap and got up to temp reasonably quickly (10-15 seconds). Needed it to replace an old WEP station that failed to deliver power. This unit was the 220v version (suitable for 220-240v) and it came with the UK plug. The images never made that clear. The unit was also properly earthed. It successfully delivered enough heat to allow me to replace Hdmi retimers and other small ics, but as expected, it didn't have enough for hdmi ports. Worth the £40 I paid.
