Playing the UNICO MVSX Home Arcade instantly took me back to the 1990s, standing in front of an original Neo Geo “Big Red” cabinet and feeding it quarters. This smaller version captures that same feeling surprisingly well. The bright red design, arcade-style controls, and excellent selection of games make it feel like having a piece of arcade history in your home. The cabinet and riser feel durable, look fantastic, and are sturdy once fully assembled. With 50 of the best games released for the Neo Geo, it offers a lot of value for the price. There is a great variety of fighting games, shooters, sports titles, and classic arcade experiences, so there is plenty to keep you coming back. It can feel a little tight with two adults playing side by side, but it is still comfortable enough when standing. Assembly was straightforward overall. My only issue was that the included screws for attaching the tabletop control panel to the cabinet were too large and would not thread properly. I did not receive the correct replacement M6 screws, but I was able to find the right size at a local hardware store and secure everything without a problem. Despite the screw issue, I am extremely happy with the MVSX. It looks amazing, plays wonderfully, and brings back the excitement of discovering a Neo Geo cabinet in a convenience store or arcade during the ’90s. For anyone who grew up playing the original Big Red—or anyone who simply loves classic arcade games—the MVSX is absolutely worth it.

I did struggle a bit with the assembly; at the very end, the kit included two 2-inch screws when I needed 1-inch ones, so I had to pause the setup to go buy the right size. Also, the front section where the coin slot is supposed to be is just a plastic facade—it’s completely sealed—so if your goal was to save money by using coins for each play, I’m afraid that won’t be possible. Aside from that, the cabinet tends to wobble a bit during gameplay, but it comes with two wedges for the back of the base to help stabilize it; these really add some firmness while you're having fun with family and friends. That said, this MVSX retro arcade game is truly on another level—it’s impressive. It features an approximately 18-inch screen with excellent resolution, plus a USB port where you can plug in a drive to enjoy saved games you haven't been able to play otherwise. It also has great sound—the volume is powerful, like a jukebox, and the audio is crystal clear. You’re really going to love it; I highly recommend it.

Incredibly impressed. The SNK machines were iconic in the mid 90s. as a kid the 3 biggest names for fighting games were the Mortal Kombat series / marvel vs Capcom series and SNK with their king of fighters series ... Yes there were plenty of other fighting games but none of them had the household name recognition like these big three, all of these games were known for me some of the best and most fluid fighting gameplay around for the era, additionally metal slug was an iconic game series that was known for its side scrolling shooter combat much similar to contra but had the pivotal tank the sv-001 "metal slug" and later on it had even more "slugs" (vehicles to run around in) this game was a quarter crusher back in the day and a lot of overprotective parents in the '90s thought the cartoon violence was a bit gratuitous so depending on how young you were you may not have gotten quarters to play that title but later on the series was ported to systems like Xbox that's where I truly became a fan but that's a whole different long story...as for this review the MSV X bar top arcade is a great investment and a lot of fun and nostalgia for anyone who appreciates the retro gaming experience. Size dimensions are perfect the machine build quality is very nice it has a beautiful light up Marquee on the top as for controls joysticks and buttons also feel to be of good quality and play well and as for sound the speakers sound fantastic all and all I personally give this machine top accolades for being a budget friendly way to get a true arcade experience at home without breaking the bank 10/10 would buy again.

My mom bought me an original neo Geo system back in the 90s… Recently, I’ve just been nostalgic for it and I really wanted to play my old games like samurai showdown. I decided to buy this since the original consoles cost thousands of dollars in good condition. All I can say is that this thing is absolutely amazing and it’s worth every penny! Every game is exactly the way I remember it, the controllers are excellent and responsive, and there’s also something like 50 games on this arcade machine! That’s about 46 more than I had in the 90s!

Love the general product build on this, I've had 1up cabinets and this beats them. I did swap out the controls, but I'd bet most people would be fine with the stock ones even though they're pretty cheap. The sound is mid tier, but the whole package adds up to a really fun experience. A lot of games for the money.

My reason for buying was to accomplish a childhood dream of owning an original MVS-1 Cabinent. MVS-1s out there though are big and have suffered from years of damage and wear. The MVSX accomplishes the goal of owning an MVS system which many of us have dreamed about since the early 90s. I love this unit. I haven't built the lower part of it yet because I want to put a real coin mechanism into it. But the screen on this is beautiful and overall the unit runs very fast for an emulator. I will say the unit is too fighter heavy so modding is essential. SNK should have included more variety there's a lot of mediocre fighters on here. My favorite game is Sengoku 3 its just a visually gorgeous game and probably the easiest game to get into. Excellent build quality the light up marquee sets it apart from the 1UPArcade machines and it just looks great. The audio is good but could be better, definitely some mod potential. I think the quality issues with the buttons are overblown, these buttons feel like those on an MVS-1 original, there's a bit of snobbery going on but it seems easy to mod. This is definitely a machine for anyone that's looking for a hobby project but doesn't want to have to build the whole machine outright. Note: I was shocked at the size of the unit. It is a lot bigger than I thought it would be. It's also heavy. So just be ready for that fact. Really happy with this purchase. [EDIT] The Power Adaptor broke on this after 3 months, I'm in the process of getting this issue resolved with the seller. Will be updated based on the outcome. I'm a little sad because the machine has been great so far. Update: I talked with the seller who has been wonderful and very fast to reply, the power pack was not the issue it was the power cable + plug that came with it. I changed over to another cable and the machine is working fine. Hopefully, it stays working.

Looks great and with 50 classic neo-geo games its a perfect addition to the man cave. Can't fault the after sales service. The screen had a row of dead pixels issue but the seller responded within 24 hours of my message and its all sorted now with a replacement screen. Extremely happy. Buy with confidence from this seller.
