Great little tool for pinpointing when metal detecting

Great for my dad. Adding to his metal detection kit.

found it to be as good for pinpointing as the more exspensive name brands at a fraction of the cost.

I was very pleasantly surprised at the quality and functionality of this pinpointer. It easily detected items in the ground and in the dirt plug about 1-2 inches from the detector. The holster and lanyard are a nice bonus as well. The owner's manual was surprisingly useful also. Again, not expected at all and worth the time to review. I would not have learned about the "Detuning" function. Not sure I would trust the "Waterproof"ness of it though.

It does what it's supposed to do within a few inches and since it's a free-flowing sweep you can fairly easily determine the hits on point. It's a good price (at the moment I bought it) for what it does. I'm using it for standard purposes, but also to find nails in a garden surround before I take a chainsaw to it. Worth the money for sure when it comes to safely ripping something down with a chainsaw.

Bought it specifically for the purpose of locating the 1" thick, solid-iron surveyor's rods driven into the ground at the corners of my half-acre property. It simply didn't work for that purpose. I eventually found the rods, using a plat book, a tape measure, and a lot of trial-and-error digging. They were all 4-5" below ground level. Turns out the device had to be within 2" of an exposed rod before it beeped--even with a brand-new battery. I returned it for full refund.

I’ve had more expensive pinpointers in the past and this one seems to work just as well, at a much lower cost.

I bought this just to test it out and have it on hand for when the kids come out metal detecting with me. But it works very well.

Sobald man dem Gegenstand näher kommt ertönt ein immer schnelleres Signal. Es ist wirklich sehr genau. Hätte ich für den Preis nicht erwartet. Wir waren jetzt schon einige Stunden damit unterwegs und auch die Batterie hält bis jetzt. Ich habe jetzt zwar keinen Vergleich zu anderen Geräten, aber ich würde dieses jederzeit wieder kaufen.
