Santa Muerte Tarot Deck: Book of the Dead

This is an absolutely stunning deck. The art work is so creative and clever. The colours stand out so well with vibrant creative designs feathering images of the dead and skeletons. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality, which is excellent. The card stock is nice and flexible but firm making it a good deck to shuffle. It is standard tarot deck size, so it fits nicely in your hands when shuffling. While there is little information on the cards to indicate the meanings the images make it easy for any reader to understand the cards energies and what it is trying to say. I would recommend this for a beginning who has been learning tarot for some time and is ready for their next challenge. Another added bonus is that each card in the guide books comes with a message from the dead, spoken as if they are talking to you. I loved this and I use this as a message from La Santa Muerte when conducting readings. It’s just a nice touch.

This is a beautiful deck made of good paper stock, stunning artwork and a useful booklet. It also has a nicely sized and sturdy box. Can't really find a fault to it... Seems like Scarabeo has delivered a great deck yet again. If I was hard pressed I would say that the cards are a tad too glossy for my liking but, as I said it's a really top class tarot deck.

Good quality cards. Thick stock. Not quite waterproof but feels smooth and has reflective surface. Comes in a nice embossed box. A small book is included which contains the meanings of each card and advice. Contains 78 cards.

Love the art!!! Love the theme. Great for intuitive messages, everyday readings. Cards are plasticky, but shuffle fairly well after some use (initially they stuck together). No complaints! The booklet is cute. Not in-depth, but still useful for beginners.

Lovely cards. Artwork is so beautiful. The card stock was good and the box was nice and strong. So much detail in the cards that you can only really appreciate when you have them in your hands.

I stumbled upon this deck while searching for material on Santa Muerte. Needless to say my finger hit buy before I thought about it. Beautiful deck, great card stock and I love the interpretation on some of the cards. Would recommend, it's beautiful and reads very well, in its own way.

Beautiful cards. Waterproof, and bigger than most tarot deck. I have order a new deck from the same artist due to be released in March. Do not buy the cheaper version. They are a cheap copy without the booklet. Smaller than the original, extremely poor quality

I purchased this deck as replacement for the deck I had been reading with for over 15 years. I'm still working with it, but I have to say the artwork is amazing! It is eye-catching, vibrant and unexpected. You want to keep staring into it, because the images are just beautiful. It's a deck you just want to handle. When you take it out you simply want to thumb one by one through the cards and really absorb them. With that said, I read with a deck that was much more closely Rider Waite in form and function than this deck seems to be. Some of the cards seem to follow the Waite imagery, but by and large they have their own set of imagery. The 10 of swords for instance is a strikingly beautiful card but is nothing like the Ten of swords in a Rider Waite deck. This is fine, but does prevent this from being a grab-and-go deck. If you purchase this deck you will be having to relearn it. You won't just be able to grab it and start immediately pulling spreads like you did with your other Waite deck. That's fine, and I have enjoyed trying to get to know this deck, and I think that given more time this will become one of my favorite decks to read with. But I will admit that it would have been nice had it been more of a grab-and-go deck for somebody who is familiar with the iconography and meanings of the Waite decks. That said, the cards are big. I like to actually shuffle my decks, and they're just a little too large to be able to fit in my hands easily to bridge them. But that may not be an issue for a reader who doesn't shuffle, and Bridge a deck of tarot cards like they do a deck of playing cards. They're thick, and glossy. I typically leave my Tarot deck in a bag, but the box is gorgeous as well so I have left this deck in its box inside my usual bag because I couldn't bear getting rid of the box. I have no regrets with this deck, and while I had wished that it was a more in keeping with traditional waite imagery, the sales page was very honest with the pictures they posted.

Mag ich das Deck? Ja!!!! Kann man damit seriöse Legungen abhalten? Selbstverständlich. Ich kann die Aussage mancher Kunden, dass man sie höchstens als Sammlerstück bei sich haben kann überhaupt nicht nachvollziehen. Wenn ich raten müsste warum so eine Aussage kommt, würde ich das damit begründen, dass sich entsprechende Kunden a) noch nicht genug mit dem Tarot auskennen und lieber auf die Standardsymbolik ausweichen, bis sie sich sicher fühlen und b) sich nichts Schönes wert sind. Sind die Karten stabil? Ja, und gleichzeitig etwas rutschig. Wer keine glatten Oberflächen anfassen mag, sucht sich bitte ein anderes Deck aus. Es war für mich etwas ungewohnt, so glossige und rutschige Karten zu haben. War eine deutsche Übersetzung im Booklet dabei? Nein. Stört mich das? Nein, weil ich mich a) mit Tarot auskenne und b) ich hätte schlimmstenfalls auf English und Französisch ausweichen können. Spanisch und Portugiesisch waren im Booklet auch. Wer wirklich Tarot lernen möchte, der lässt sich nicht hindern. Es gibt Google und wenn euch das Booklet nicht reicht, erinnert euch bitte, dass wir im 21. Jahrhundert leben und man Wissen aus mehr als einer Quelle entnehmen kann. Also nicht ärgern, wenn keine deutsche Übersetzung da ist, wenn es unbedingt das Santa Muerte Tarot sein soll. Jederzeit wieder. Die Lieferung war pünktlich. Ich habe ein wenig mit der Folienverpackung gekämpft, aber alles kam heile und zu meiner vollsten Zufriedenheit ohne doppelte Karten an.
