Still a great climbing frame many years on
Purchased around 2 years ago. Lovely little set and still played with most days. The phone is a great hit. The swing area is just starting to get a little small for my 3.5 year old. The slide hasn’t faded. The wood still looks great, it has silvered a little as you’d expect and no splinters/broken pieces. It was a bit fiddly to put together and much quicker with 2 of you.

Well worth the money, highly recommended
I bought this item recently for my toddler, I'd read some of the other reviews and was a tiny bit nervous about it, but happily I've been very impressed. It's very sturdy, one of the other reviews claimed it felt a bit fragile and didn't inspire confidence. Happily I can only disagree, it is incredibly sturdy, even with only 6 of the legs on the ground it has no wobble, movement or flex. I've even stood upon it myself and it took my considerable weight with no issue. Even the slide, which is one piece of moulded plastic is very solid, it does have some flex but nothing to cause any concerns at all. The construction, whilst time consuming, was actually not too bad for its complexity, it took probably 2.5 hours to build, which really wasn't bad I thought. The instructions were excellent, the cut away diagrams very easy to follow. And the size of screws and bolts once again reinforce the idea that this is well designed and strong. The cost, which another review said was higher than other similar models is very reasonable. I actually looked extensively for similar style sets and the only like for like equivalents were considerably more expensive. The quality is really good, as stated the boots, screws and brackets are all nice and strong. The wood is pretreated and all sanded smooth and edges are mostly rounded off. The grips on the steps are nice and deep. And the handles are the exact same style I've seen on my local public park. The ordering, delivery and communication were very good. Obviously tracked delivery was very helpful and kept me informed so I could arrange for someone to be in when delivered. We had one part, the plastic phone, that had been damaged when it arrived, so I contacted the supplier, they were more than happy to send a replacement part free of charge and even checked that the rest of the set was all intact before sending it out. Which I'm happy to state it was. The only negative I can find in this at all is some of the flooring planks were cut.just slightly too long, although this might have just been down to errors in me putting it together, happily a minute with a saw to shave a small bit off solved that issue. And again, this was more than likely due to me putting it together slightly askew. Overall my son loves it, has played with it loads since it's arrived and he has had barrels of fun with it. And as it's so well built I think this will genuinely last years. Could not be happier, highly recommend.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS
DO NOT PURCHASE THIS PRODUCT!! We had a nightmare with this product. Very poor quality, pieces of wood were broken and bolts and screws missing. The instructions were diabolical. My partner ended up having to buy and cut pieces of wood as well as buy bolts and screws which were missing to put it together. He eventually did build it taking hours longer than it should of. When it came to returning the product we had to pay the postage which would have cost over £20!! Hence why we decided to put it together ourselves and buy any missing parts as it was more hassle to return it. Would never purchase a Plum product again!! We don’t have faith it’ll last due to the quality!! AVOID!!

Needs Good Time For Assembly ✨
A beautiful product, fantastic for a toddler. My 2 year old is already too big for the swing as it’s quite low to the ground, but she’s very happy using the slide and standing at the top. I may swap out the baby swing for a more grown up version. The phone addition has been a massive hit. Only reason for 4 stars is it takes quite some time for assembly as some of the pilot holes are in the wrong place so you have to make your own. Overall a great product very much loved by my daughter.

Poor part numbering
Quality of wood seems to be good. Biggest difficulty was the poor quality of stamping on each part. Blurred, incomplete and on some parts missing entirely. Definitely added to the challenge of putting everything together. Need to up their game in quality control on this aspect for sure.

Great value for the money
The frame was more sturdy than expected. Unlike other reviews all the pre drilled holes were in the right place and everything came as described apart from 1-2 screws. I thought the instructions and pictures were pretty clear but you do need to look at some quite closely to get it right. As described this took 3-4 hours for 2 of us to construct. It Could be done by one person but some tricky pieces to balance on your own. There are many screws and bolts to join the wood so an impact/electric screwdriver is almost essential in my view. My tip as in any self build is to lay out the wood and screws in order before you start. All the wooden pieces are labelled and connect well to the pictures. There are several different bolt lengths so also worth measuring first since it is important you use the right length at the right stage. Overall very impressed with build and instructions but it does take a little time and patience.

Disappointed
We bought this climbing frame for our grandson, and while it looks lovely once assembled and the overall design is appealing, there were quite a few issues that left us disappointed. The biggest frustration was the assembly. Several pieces of wood and all of the screws were unlabeled, meaning we had to measure and identify them ourselves, which made building it much more time-consuming than it should have been. We also found that some of the wooden pieces were already cracked or broken straight out of the box. On top of that, the wood was quite rough in places and needed sanding before we felt it was safe to use. The swing was another let-down. It’s advertised for younger children, but we didn’t find it suitable for our 1-year-old grandson. The harness is only a 3-point design with no side support, so it doesn’t feel particularly secure. Adjusting the straps is also fiddly, yet if you don’t adjust them correctly, your child’s feet drag along the ground. That said, there are positives. The overall concept is lovely, it looks great in the garden, and we especially like the chalkboard and toy phone accessories, which add a nice touch and encourage imaginative play. Overall, while it looks fantastic once it’s up, the quality control, assembly issues, and safety concerns mean I wouldn’t purchase it again or recommend it. It’s a nice idea, but it needs significant improvements to justify the price.
