Is beautiful!
This chair is very functional and aesthetic. 1. Easy to install 2. None smell on the fabric 3. Good quality 4. Firm 5. Size is perfect for my space 6. Seller is attentive checking if you got the chair and how do you feel about the product. Customer service is good. 7. As someone else commented here you can feel the mechanisms but nothing that you cannot deal with. 8. Is really comfortable if you like firm like I do otherwise might be a problem for someone who like soft mattress or sofas. 9. If itโs too hard or firm you can add extra cushion with a blanket or top mattress. I do put on top my Japanese mattress and works just fine. 10. Overall Iโm happy with my purchase and Iโm planning to get another one. Is perfect if a guest stays overnight. 11. Buy it, buy it, buy it!!!

Versatile, Looks nice, sleeps hard
This sleeper chair looks very nice, is relatively easy to use and is well built. The fabric is a classy-looking grey. It is an individual cot sized futon sleeper that folds into multiple positions so it may be used as a cot, a chaise lounge, or a chair. The back of the chair/chaise lounge also has multiple settings to incline. You can incline just the pillow area, or the entire back to several positions. When completely flat, it makes a cot just under 80 inches and is 29 inches wide. You can see the exact measurements in the description. It is longer than a standard twin sized mattress, but not as wide. yet it is plenty wide for me (6'2" and 190 lbs.). The mattress is a bit hard to sleep on for my taste, so I also purchased a 2"X30"X80" foam pad mattress topper which can be rolled up and put away when not needed. I also got a fitted sheet the same size and it works well for me. When bringing the back of the futon down from an inclined or upright position, you have to fold it inward with some force for the mechanism to release the back to fold outward and horizontal again. Since I put a 2" foam pad on it that is a little more difficult, but still doable. Just be aware that it does take some force pushing down to get it to release. There are zipper pockets where leg supports pop out at the two ends (four corners). Otherwise, the middle base has four short wooden legs that raise it off the ground and are the main support. Other than the hardness of the mattress, I am pleased with my purchase.

Well-made, firm, comfortable
I read that some people have issues with this tipping over. As a chair, it is very stable. I found there is a spot when folded out, between the center and the end, where if you apply pressure, it can make it collapse...(that spot hits the floor and bottom of chair lifts). I don't see this as an issue for an adult, but possibly for a child. It is firm, but I like that. I find it comfortable, but not if you are someone who plans on laying down for a prolonged time. I think its good for naps or sleeping on once a week, unless you are used to floor sleeping. I wouldn't suggest this for a full time bed, but it's fine for occasional sleeping. To make it fit for shipping, the top is folded. Just straighten it out, no big deal. Assembly is just putting the legs on, but honestly, this could work without legs. So if it is for a child, and tipping is a concern, you could leave legs off. The additional legs for laying it out are zipped up, so if you left the wooden legs off it would be no big deal. I love that I can sit cross-legged on this. I use it as a chair for my desk, folded out for reading or watching movies, and for gaming. It is low to the floor, which I like. I'm 5'6, and find it a comfortable size. Someone taller wouldnt be comfortable sleeping on this. You can put a cot fitted sheet on it and a lumbar pillow case on the included pillow. I have sensitive skin, and the fabric doesnt bother me, but I lay a soft blanket over it for added comfort as it is very slightly rough. I wouldn't recommend this item for someone very tall, overweight, or someone who struggles to get up and down from the floor. I think it has to be firm for the design to work, so any of these chairs will be firm.

Not for sleeping
So we've had these for about a year now. They look good even if they are short however they are extremely uncomfortable for sleeping as the padding is much too thin. It has held up well and seems very solid but I would not buy again.

It is extremely uncomfortable.
My opinion: don't buy it. Use your money for something better. I fell for the trick because it looks very nice and useful in the photos, but it's the complete opposite. The packaging box is huge, and it's very easy to assemble since you just open it and screw on the legs, but when you want to use it, you realize it's stiffer than sitting on the floor. It's not soft or pleasant to sit on, and the backrest doesn't recline to a comfortable position; you have to sit completely upright. If you sit like a robot, I don't think it'll be a problem.

Nice option and good design. Wish it was taller, for older guests using it as a bed
Well designed for balance, but I do wish it was taller. If you have bad knees or hips, it does sit low, and you have to put more force into standing up from like a squat position. I bought it as a fold out bed for my guest room. I took a brief nap on it and it was fine. The pillow helps, but with the boxiness, the angle while in a lounge (legs out but top like a chair) it starts to hurt your back or butt after a bit. I like that it it multi-functional, nice looking and I don't have to have a bed in the background of my office/guest room while working from home. AND light enough to carry upstairs (A guy that lifts weights or two non-athletic women) to protect your back!
