Wow! I havent bought an umbrella for 20 years im sure. Im 6 ft 2in and heavy. This ia a large umbrella but not heavy. Its all plastic and vinyl but strong. One button push open ! So cool. Nice colors and the price cant be beat. Oh yeah and a shoulder strap too! I hope it last 20 more years. Enjoy

This umbrella is fantastic! The quality is great, and the size is perfect — it comfortably fits my husband (who’s over 6 ft) and me with room to spare. I picked up the G4Free 54 Inch Windproof Umbrella because I’m in Florida and the weather here goes from sunny to sideways rain in about 5 minutes. I needed something that could actually cover me and maybe one other person without flipping inside out. After using it for a few months and digging through what other buyers are saying, here’s my honest take. First impression and build Right out of the bag, it’s big. The 54-inch arc / 45-inch diameter canopy is legit — I can walk with my wife under it and neither of us gets soaked. The wooden J-handle cane style feels old-school but solid, and the auto-open button pops the canopy up fast. G4Free uses 16 fiberglass ribs and a double-canopy vented design, which is supposed to let wind pass through instead of flipping the whole thing. Mine also came with a sleeve/bag with a handle and two Velcro straps to keep it closed. What I actually liked Coverage: This is the main reason to buy it. It really does fit 1-2 people comfortably. I’ve used it for kid pickup in the rain, walking the dog, and even as a sun shade at my son’s soccer game. The silver-coated fabric blocks UV and it’s noticeably cooler underneath. Auto-open is smooth: One button, it shoots open. No wrestling with it when you’re already getting rained on. Decent build for the price: Fiberglass shaft + 16 ribs makes it feel sturdier than the cheap $5 ones. Most buyers say it’s well made and worth the price. Hands-free hack: I saw a creator attach this exact model to a backpack for people using walkers or canes. I tried it on my hiking pack and it works if you have a chest strap. Useful if you need both hands free. What bugged me / negatives “Windproof” is optimistic: The double canopy helps, but in Florida gusts this thing still shakes a lot. Some buyers flat-out say it’s not windproof and one broke in the first thunderstorm. I haven’t had a rib snap yet, but I definitely hold it with two hands when it’s blowing. It’s heavy: With 16 ribs and that wood handle, it’s not light. Carrying it for 20+ minutes gets old. Fine for golf or car-to-door, but not for all-day theme parks. Quality control issues: A few reviews mention ribs popping out of the canopy or breaking and poking holes. Mine’s been fine, but it’s common enough that people mention being “careful opening it” so it doesn’t break. Weird smell at first: Some folks noticed a strong odor out of the box. Real-world uses where it shines Two-person coverage: Grocery runs, dog walks, school pickup. Both people stay dry. Sun shade: Florida sun is brutal. The silver lining actually reflects heat and I use it on the golf course and sidelines. Car umbrella: Lives in my trunk. Big enough to get in/out of the car without getting drenched. Travel if you check a bag: Compact when folded, but at 37 inches long it’s not carry-on friendly. The included sleeve helps. Bottom line It’s a good “big umbrella” if you want coverage and sun protection and don’t mind the weight. I use mine 3-4x a week during storm season and it’s held up. Just don’t believe the “windproof” label too hard. In light to moderate wind it’s fine. In Florida squalls, angle it and hold tight. Knocked one star for weight and the mixed wind performance. But for size, shade, and price, I’d buy it again.

Needed an umbrella that would be big enough to provide shelter for the dog as we took her out in the rain to do her potty business. Haven't had an opportunity to test the windproof feature but will update when I can because that was one of the features it provided that I was looking for. I also wanted one that was easy to open and close and this one does. It's also an attractive umbrella without being overly feminine looking.

A good size and pretty secure

For 33 CAD, this is a good umbrella, comes with cover sheath stile with straps. plastic rays look solid enough, better than metal. not sure this is fiberglass as advertised, but I prefer non fiberglass, especially for non performance items, pretty sure fiberglass degrades to worse things than plastic. Onething i'll be watching will be how much of the rain this umbrella will stop. It looks like it isn't meant for downpoors. I like the handle for when your hands are too busy and you need to hook the umbrella on your forearm or in a coatrack. It has also more torque when twisting it in the wind, more durable than foam and more stylish.

This was a very beautiful strong high quality umbrella. We had some windy days and the umbrella didn't go inside out at all. It's comfortable to hold and looks very elegant, I love showing it off. Def would buy again if I wore it out but so far it seems extremely durable. Best umbrella I've ever had. Worth it.
