There is enough clearance. Just make sure you pull out the headset to its largest distance when you place it on the stand.

How durable are the magnetic usb pieces? If I slapped them on accident against something would they break?

Seems durable enough. They lay pretty flush so unless you’re really smacking stuff on purpose you shouldn’t have to worry about them breaking.
