I will make this review as detailed as I can. Here's some info about me that may be helpful. My period lasts 5 days. My bleeding is light to moderate depending on the day, and I'm very thin (about 95lbs). I don't have any disorders, diseases, etc that affect my cycle, and I've only used disposable pads up until now. I don't workout, so I'm unsure of how well these hold up when doing vigorous activities. I usually changed my pad 2-4 times a day when I used disposable pads.APPEARANCEI bought these in 5XL round. 5 of them came in a pack. They're around 11" long. The absorbancy part is fleece so it's very soft. The wings are in the center of the pad. The buttons are secure, and there are 2 so you can make the fit around your undies looser or tighter. The wet bag that comes with it is small enough to fit in a small to moderate sized purse and it fits about 3 pads inside once you fold them up.COVERAGEThey have a decent amount of coverage. They are comfortable to walk around in and aren't thick. They're on the thinner side.I'm a stomach sleeper, so at times I have leaking at the top of my underwear towards my belly. I didn't have this issue with these pads and I slept on my stomach off and on, but I wouldn't say they are completely leakage safe since they aren't full coverage. There were blood stains trailing towards the tip of the pad, so I may have just gotten lucky. If I slept on my stomach the whole night, I probably would've stained my undies.Also...maybe it's because I wore underwear that were too small for the pad, but the pad scrunched a little on the sides so I had light blood stains somewhat on the wings. However, overall 95% of the period blood stayed in the center.I didn't have any issues with the pad sliding at all, but it may be because I was wearing undies that were on the tighter side to prevent this in the 1st place.SMELLThe pad itself will smell like whatever you used to wash it. When using it, the only thing you will smell is the scent of your own blood and body odor. Depending on the person and their hygiene, that may or may not be noticeable or bad. Speaking of body odor, these pads are not super breathable, but they're not bad. They're fleece and fleece can be a bit much to some people when you feel hot. I sweat a lot, especially at night. So, I'm not too happy with wearing pads in general because of that. However, the fleece didn't make this better or worse for me personally. It was about the same as usual.ABSORBANCYThe absorbancy is great. I have no complaints. The 1st day of my period is pretty light, then it gets heavier over night and onto the 2nd day. I started my period in the afternoon and was able to wear it until noon the next day. I don't know if it can last longer. I didn't want to go that long without changing it.WASHINGWith any reusable pad, it's recommended that you wash them before 1st time use. A google search can give you info on how to wash them properly and remove blood stains. However, I was too lazy to read as there were many different answers to this online so this is what I did.When I 1st got them, I put them in the washing machine with laundry detergent. No bleach. They came out fine. No damage. Then, I layed them across my dresser to let them air dry. They were completely dry within 9 hours or so, and my bedroom is a bit cooler than room temp.Immediately after I finished using 1, I drenched it with cold water and gently scrubbed at the blood stains with an old toothbrush. I did this until the stains were as faded as possible. I squeezed the pad until the water ran clear to make sure any blood absorbed into the 2nd layer was removed. A lot of blood came out. It looked like I was dumping a bowl of blood into the drain. I was impressed because it didn't seem like it absorbed that much. I felt dry the whole time I wore the pad.After the rinse, I threw them right in my laundry basket with other dirty clothes, but I made sure they stayed on top for atleast a day so they are getting air to dry. It's important you keep them in an airy environment so you don't get that mildew or rotten scent going on.Then, I put them in the washing machine with laundry detergent as soon as I could. No bleach. "As soon as I could" means about 4 days later lol. I finished my period before I decided to wash them, so I could throw them in the washing machine all together.After throwing them in the wash, I let them air dry. Doing this caused no damage and I couldn't see any stains on them. They looked brand new.This made me happy because I have light colored pads from a different seller and you can see the staining on them. I've decided that in the future, I'll only buy dark colored reusable pads.OVERALL THOUGHTSI've been looking for ways to save money, be comfy, and worry free during my period. This was my 1st time using reusable pads after hearing so many good things about them, and it's going to take some getting used to. For the 1st 2 days of my period, I found myself wishing that I bought disposable pads instead. Then by the end of my period, I was okay with them.The reason why I initially didn't like them is because I was annoyed with soaking and rinsing the pads right after use. It's of course more work than just removing a disposable pad and tossing it in the trash. I found an easier solution which is rinsing my used pads while I'm in the shower. That made it less annoying, but there are instances where I can't always do this such as when I've already taken a shower earlier and need to change my pad again.I briefly read online that it's best to rinse reusable pads immediately to avoid staining, but considering that I won't always be by a shower or appropriate sink to do this, staining is inevitable (maybe unless you know a special technique to get them out). However, I'm not worried. Staining doesn't seem to be very visible on these anyway after you rinse and wash them. And if there comes a day where I can see it after washing them, it's okay. It's a pad and no one else will be seeing it but me.Overall, I recommend these specific reusable pads. I would definitely buy these again in the future.

I have had heavy periods since I was 13 and have always had to use either Ultra/ Super Ultra tampons or overnight pads because of this, and I would go through quite of few of those within a day. I wanted to find something that was more comfortable, cost effective, and had higher absorbency.While I am currently on medication to help regulate my periods, I do still have a somewhat heavy cycle. I will try to include information pertaining to my experience with the pads before medication and after.I'd already been using another brand of washable pad, and they were great as far as the amount they absorbed, but since I am plus size and they can shift a bit, they were not long enough, so I searched around and was able to find these.Currently, I have been using these pads for almost a year now and I love them.----------Pros:- The larger & longer size gives me more coverage, so I feel very protected when I am sleeping or even just sitting down for long periods of time.-The option of having a larger rounded end & a slightly smaller rounded end means I can wear the pad either way, depending on how heavy my flow is at that time or which direction it is going or how quickly it expels.-The microfiber feels SO much better than the plastic fibers of the disposable pads/tampons. I have no uncomfortable chaffing, and since the pad doesn't have any sticky adhesive, it doesn't get stuck to me at any point in the day.-Since it absorbs so much, I don't feel the moisture against my body, so it doesn't feel like I'm wearing a diaper nor there is a threat that I'll soak through.-It absorbs moisture quickly, which is definitely a perk for me since my flow tends to gush out suddenly and very heavily at random while I am going about my day , or if I have been in one position for too long.-There is no smell/odor.( If you didn't know, blood only starts to smell if it's oxidized, meaning it's been in contact with air.)While there is the minor scent of fresh blood when using the bathroom, I am not walking around at work/ going about my day w/ the worry that everyone can smell that I am menstruating. The pads are super absorbent, which draws the blood deep into the pad so it can't be in contact w/ my skin or the air, so no odor. I have walked around work for an 9hr shift with my wet bag in my pocket, as I'd forgotten my backpack that day, and there was not a single hint or whiff of an odor.-They are super easy to care for. I have had one set for nearly a year and the other three for almost 9 months and they still absorb just as well as the first day. I have no staining aside from if my pad shifted due to movement (which is one of the few cons I will get into later).I rinse them under COLD water as soon as I can, as warm/hot water cant set stains. Sometimes I do this in by just turning on the shower for a few minutes until the water runs clear and I hand wring them out, other times I soak them in the washing machine with cold water, rinse with cold water and spin cycle them. Either way, after that I wash them in detergent and cold water and dry in the dryer with high heat and no softener. Hand washing and air drying would more than likely make them last longer, but since I have been doing this 9 mo- 1 year and I have seen no noticeable change. I can make an edit if I do though.-They are so much more cost effective than buying disposables, at least for me. While I didn't have periods every month due to my condition, the duration of my periods was longer, so I would say the cost for pads/tampons was still high. For example, one pack of 36 overnight pads was about $11.10 after tax and a pack of 45 Ultra tampons were about the same price.Heavy bleeding means that I was going through one tampon in less than 2 hrs, which meant I had to change them quite often during the day. I also could never use just a tampon or a pad, I always had to use both and change both out. Neither of these boxes lasted long for me so I would end up spending around $30-$40 a month for these products, and sometimes more if my cycle lasted longer than a month, which it did at times.When I started using these pads before medication, I was AMAZED at how much they absorbed. While working, I still used tampons in conjunction with them because I was unsure at how well they would work, but when I was at home, I would rely on just the pad and was complete astounded by how well they held up. With the medication I am now on (it is medroxyprogesterone if you'd like to ask your physicians about it) my flow is still somewhat heavy for my first few days of my period, but I have been able to only rely on these pads for protection. I have a few disposables just for emergencies and friends, but these have been my saving grace for me and my wallet.Cons:The only negative that I have for these pads is that I wish there was a way to better adhere them to combat shifting. I love that snap closed, and that the snaps even have two options for if you want a tighter fit, but I wish there was a way to keep them from sliding back and forth.I know one fix is something I could do, which is to find underwear with a wider gusset, as most undergarments are made with very thin ones which doesn't help.I've also considered designating specific underwear as period panties and sewing snaps onto the gusset and back of the pads so that they wouldn't shift around as much either.But in the end, I will totally deal with a little bit of shifting when there have been so many pros to making this switch.TLDR, do yourself a favor and buy these pads.

So far so good. Only used for one cycle. It did leak through the side seams but that's because you can't tell if it's full due to the wicking and color of the fabric. I changed when I seen blood appear by the seams. I paired this with reusable period underwear that I purchased from Amazon.I washed the bag and the pads when they first came. I test the bags durability by putting the washed pads in the bag and hanging it over my sink to see if it would leak. There was no leakage after 30 minutes. I wished the bag came with a clip. I have a pic of a bag (watermelon 3pk) I purchased from another vendor previously as a wet/dry bag. It is the same material but the wristlet comes with a clip. I clip it to the toilet paper holder at work since there is no shelf. The bag that came with the pads can hold 1 period undie and 2 pads comfortably.The pad does slide a bit since it's only secured with a clip but it didn't move when worn only when putting the underwear one. I just adjust a bit when it's on to make sure it's where I want it to be.Cleaning is easy. I let it sit in water with a bit of zote soap till I hand wash with a scrubber. The sitting helps get rid of excess blood. If I change in the evening I let it sit till the next morning.I needed a pad with a wider end since I'm plus size. I would say I am a normal bleeder. I may purchase the smaller size for light days. I found the disposable pads cause me to sweat more and cause irritation. That's why I chose to use reusable pads. I did not have any irritation while using these. I also didn't have that diaper feeling like when I use the overnight disposable pads.Overall buy it to save money and help the environment. Buy it so you don't have chemicals near your sensitive areas.
