Very Sturdy
This item assembled easily although because of the design of my apartment walls I had major issues hanging it. For whatever reason there is only ONE stud in my walls. I had to drill new holes in the mounting bracket to accommodate this. I used a huge bolt in the one stud I did find then I had to go back to the store and buy some of those giant metal 50lb drywall bracket things and installed 4 of them. Now this thing isn't going anywhere. After the challenges of trying to get it mounted it was easy. I am a 5' 5" woman of average build and was able to lift it onto the bracket by myself. I looked high and low to find something large enough to hold everything I wanted it to and am so happy with this piece. It gives the entryway a nice, tidy appearance and holds numerous jackets, hoodies and bags. Highly recommend to anyone. Well worth the price.

Good product, Good price, Looks great.
Product received without any damage. Although no written instructions provided, the assembly drawings were clear enough to follow. My only suggestion is to label the parts. I had to match each piece to the drawings before I started. I recommend doing the assembly on cardboard to avoid scratches or damage to unit parts. I did the whole assembly alone and only needed my son's help to hang it on wall. Overall, I am happy with the purchase, decent quality, price is right, and it looks great.

An attractive, practical solution for a fair price
I purchased this shelf for my mudroom to go along with the 3-cube bench that matches it. Overall, I am happy with this purchase. It was a compromise between my budget and my desire to purchase a piece of functional furniture that fit into a set space to solve a storage problem. It went together in about an hour. It would have taken less time, but the instructions telling you to install the two little 'gable' dividers in the middle to create the cubes did not mention there were two drill-holes in the back that needed to line up with a back support that was added afterwards. After I screwed the entire thing together, I realized my error and had to take it apart again. It is a problem that can be easily rectified by the manufacture by depicting and also stating clearer directions about the gables having a 'right' and 'wrong' end. Other than that, this shelf went together like a dream. For those weighing cost, this shelf is pressboard, not real wood (as was truthfully advertised). I knew what I was getting when I bought it and am happy with what I purchased, but a novice buyer should be aware that pressboard, once you damage it, is difficult to repair. Unlike real wood, if it gets damaged, you can't simply cobble it back together with wood glue and a couple of screws and then repaint it. Since this product hangs on the wall, it is unlikely to see the kind of abuse that its matching bench will suffer and will likely last much longer. However, I do foresee one potential area for 'failure.' The piece of wood that holds the four coat-hooks is screwed in at either end, but not in the middle. Nor is there a place to attractively drill a hole through into the wall without the screws showing. I ended up drilling one anyways because, being pressboard, after a while, it is going to sag. If I had to make one recommendation to the manufacturer, it would be to include one of those little steel brackets in the middle of the back (where it's not visible) to attach the bottom-back to the bottom-shelf in the middle. A top-down screw won't do much. It's pressboard. After a while, the screw will just tear out. The other warning ... heaving this shelf up onto the wall-bracket is a two-man job! The verdict ... I am very happy with my purchase and, unless you pull it off the wall and look at the back of it, you would never know it was pressboard. It is a handsome unit and an excellent value for the money. I would consider using this manufacturer again. I bought the matching bench and am happy with that, as well.

Sturdy and Functional
Ok, let me start by saying that I read a lot of reviews on this product and I took a lot of other peoples suggestions. The directions say it only takes 30 minutes to put this together. I'm pretty handy, but it took me a little longer than that, maybe 45min. I put the hooks on last, after I had it hanging on the wall. Once you have this put together it is a very heavy piece for one person to lift. I definitely would recommend having two people to lift and position it on the wall. I measured out for my studs on my wall, then I positioned the mounting piece and leveled it. While holding it in place I marked my stud placement on the mounting piece. I removed the mounting piece and predrilled the holes. Then I put the mounting piece back on the wall and leveled again, holding in place I took a small screwdriver(you could use anything that fits in the hole) and went through the holes to make a mark on the wall so I knew where to drill into my stud. I drilled my stud holes then put up the mounting piece. Next, you have to lift the shelf up onto the mounting piece, this is where you will need two people. Here is where I added an extra step, I also wanted to add stud screws into the main shelf (the instructions also have this as an optional step). I'm a worry wort and didn't want the shelf falling down, getting pulled on, lots of coats and backpacks, etc, etc, etc. In the step where I marked my holes in the mounting piece I also marked for holes in the back of the shelf. So, after I had the mounting piece up a lifted the shelf into place (with the extra predrilled holes) I marked for the stud holes also. Then I had to take the shelf back down and drill my stud holes, then (ugh) I put the shelf back up and with the 4 extra stud screws I bought I attached the shelf to the wall. It fits very snug and tight. I added my own baskets and you can't even see the wall behind where the screws are in the wall. I could see this being a concern if you don't plan on putting a basket or something of the sort in there to cover it up. Overall I am very pleased with the shelf, it was a bit tricky to install, but it can be done. *Note, I installed this all myself, but I did get my ladder out to help with hoisting it up into place because of how heavy it was.

Spectacular and good customer support from manufacturer
Writing this review well over a year after I made my purchase. This product is amazing and beautiful. Do not use the screws they send with to mount to the wall, theyโre cheap and strip easily. Get some quality ones from your local hardware store in the same size. I bought one for my room in order to help organize my collection of cardigans and jackets I use most frequently and it absolutely surpassed my wildest dreams. Working retail I have entirely way too many clothes and surpassed the weight limit (I probably had 20 clothing items and books and decorations) and the support bracket that mounts to the wall broke. I loved it so much I ordered a replacement. Obeying the weight limit and removing the books weighing it down I never had a problem. I recently moved and wanted to move this product with me I love it so much. I just canโt remove the mounting bracket due to the screws being stripped upon installation. I did need to use a screw that I had offhand from Loweโs and that one came out just fine. I wound up not being able to remove the bracket from the wall in the old house, but called the manufacturer and they issued a one time replacement part. Should have done that from the get go instead of ordering a whole new one, but oh well. Gonna look and what other product this manufacturer sells, but gonna provide my own wall mounting screws. 13/10 would buy (did buy) again.

Love this brand - easy, secure install too.
Perfect fit. We have a bench in the garage and put this above it for hats and jackets. Installation is so easy. We had one at previous home and bought another one for the new house. Better function than just a shelf or hooks. Cubbies are great size.

Great for backpacks/coats
Love the functionality and appearance of this entryway shelf. We did add a couple extra screws to enforce the wall board. It chips easily but still pleased with the shelf. I also have the matching bench with shoe organizer and they match perfectly.

Do not recommend. Kit easily damaged on assembly, lack of options to fix.
I haven't installed it yet, but it is a heavy piece, so I might have difficulty doing that on my own. My main gripe at the moment is the way this doesn't go together easy--causing damage upon assembly. The pegs have to be hammered in, and not just a few gentle taps. One peg came through the bottom of the shelf as I was putting the top shelf in place--and a huge circular chunk of the particle board came off, marring the finish. The hammering (even with a buffer in place) also damaged the shelf supports (the small walls of the cubbies), leaving those edges marred (less than clean, straight lines). And on closer examination, the white finish all over is so thinnly applied in places that the corners/edges of the piece aren't even white--you can see the natural wood at the seams. I haven't yet finished assembly (adding the hooks), but I'm already disgusted with this. I have built many kit pieces of furniture by myself (2 dozen or more, both at home and in the office), with few problems. This piece seems to me to be near impossible to put together without causing damage. And it's a shame--it could have been solved easily by making the holes fit the hardware just a little better. I will reach out to customer service about a replacement (maybe I got a defective one?), or refund. But after wrestling with this one tonight, I'm done for the night. I'm redecorating the whole house, and purchased this for use in a bedroom as a way to organize purses, totes, scarves, accessories--I like the design and size, which suit my space and purposes. I suppose I could paint it, but that's one task I wasn't anticipating--I ordered the white finish to avoid the need to paint. And right now, all I can see are the flaws. Edit: Apparently my options are limited--I can break the piece down, pay additional costs to send it back, and get a replacement (more expense!), or I can try to order replacement parts. But then I'd have to disassemble the piece I have (which I'm sure would only cause more damage to the salvageable pieces). So, I'm stuck with a new piece of furniture with damages that I will have to do my best to repair and paint before I can install it. I'm really not happy with any of these options, and especially that there seems to be no one I can contact directly about even a partial refund, which would go a long way towards calming my frustration. I would rather pay full price for a "perfect" product, but having a damaged one at a reduced cost would be more acceptable than a danaged piece at full price. But Amazon doesn't give that option, apparently, with this piece. I'm sure I'll get passed it, but it is disappointing and frustrating. I would not recommend this product to others, based on the materials, difficulties with the assembly, and lack of options/response to problems.

I've had this bad boy for months now
I've had this bad boy for months now, and it has been awesome for organizing our many jackets. The cubbies are excellent as well for holding my hats, toques, son's shoes, etc. I even mounted a key holder on the side which has been a big bonus for me. It's still sitting tight against the wall with no concerns of it falling as it's mounted into the studs. The colour is beautiful with no missed painted spots. My only criticism is some of the predrilled holes were poorly done, but it was a negligible problem as I shifted the hook slight and made my own holes. Not worth taking a star away. This happens with mass produced products. BUY THIS NOOOOWW!!!!!!!!

Looks great and sturdy
Super impressed with this unit. So far itโs held up well with many coats and bags on it. Size is pretty good and accurate to the measurements. Beware it will chip/dent relatively easily but otherwise looks great. We changed the hooks and added some baskets from michaels.

Very sturdy
This shelf was easy to put together and has a system on the back to attach it to the wall that was super easy. I reamed on it with my weight to see how sturdy and it does not budge. I placed it as a diaper backpack holder in a nursery and am very happy with how clean and tidy it makes the room.

I love the design of it
We bought it together with the bench. I love the design of it. We have a very small entrance room, but the shelf fitted very well and there is no problem to open the door, because the's not very wide. So, this shelf will be good for those who has a small entrance hall. It's very very specious: we use the upper part for hats, bike helmets, and the lover part to hand jackets and my purses. It was very easy to adjust, the instructions were very easy to read. The best part of it - is the color. It is not easy to find a furniture of this type of color rather then white, black, or brown. It said grey in the description, but the real color is a mix of grey and beige, and it looks rich, the same as on the picture. The reason why I don't give it 5 stars- it's a quality. Its not a wood. The shelf made of wood chips and it is very easy to damage it or chip the piece ( that what happened with our bench that we bought together). So you have to be very carefull not to hang or put stuff with sharp metal things, or to hit with something, if you want it to have a presentable look for more then 3 years.
