Shazam! and the Seven Magic Lands

The build up was great
At the start of the story the build up was great but we never saw the war between the realms and that was disappointing. So many characters were introduced but they never fought . I would say first half the book is a good read but after that not so much.

Fantastic Series
The first chapter does an excellent job with a nice introduction explaining how Billy & his siblings received the Powers of Shazam! Billy & Freddy are on a class field trip to a local museum, when a group of robbers take the museum hostage. Billy says Shazam and the whole family shows up to aid him in catching the crooks. During dinner the kids are taking about the news story about the robbery and are trying to come up with names for themselves, such as Thunder Squad. The following chapter has the kids in a subway station, there's a map w 7 different locations on it, ex. Monsterlands, Wildlands and so forth. Each land sounds like a lot of fun, and the kids have trouble deciding on where they should go first. All these lands are going to be so awesome, makes me wish they were actual places in the world vs in a book. My personal faves are Funlands and Wildlands.Chapter 12 is a very nice re-cap of everything you have read so far, how Billy came to live w the Vasquez's, the kids walking in the deserted subway station (not knowing it leads to 7 Magiclands), needing a 7th champion and who that maybe, a creepy Super-Man is in the Monsterlands and then continues w the rest of the story. The kids must keep the monsters from messing up the city, while Billy is has gone to fight off Mr. Mind. By now all lands have merged together and aren't playing nicely w/one another. Black Adam comes back into the story. Johns has provided text boxes in red w yellow lettering, it's narration important to the story, as a person is providing narration. Best book I've read in awhile and took me only a few months to finish.

Brilliant, Dazzling, Awesome Shazam graphic novel from Geoff Johns!!
This graphic novel is action packed and is dazzling in its feats of Superhero wonder and scintillating drama. It is an excellent book which was engaging from the start and is a profound piece of work. The storyline was fantastic and the action pounded on page after page!! The artwork was Marvellous and extremely colourful. This book is a worthy addition to the amazing Shazam movies brought out by DC as well. It is simply superb and wonderful!!!!

Shazam
Great book. Nice to see a continuation from the movie. But still don't see why they can't call him Captain Marvel. Not to be confused with the other one.
