I have bigger and smaller pots, but this one is the right size.
The handles will allow you to carry this pot from the sink to the stovetop with sure grips. The extra (1/4) thick bottom facilitates even heat distribution while preventing burning. The indide diameter at the top is (11 and 7/8 inches). It is (5 and 1/4 inch deep inside), (5 and 1/2 tall outside)The cover is not very impressive but fits easily. However I had another "12 inch" cover shapped like a dome that fits perfectly as well and allows extra space on top for cooking something that is slightly taller than 5&1/2 inches. This pot is the right size because I do not cook frequently, but when I cook , I cook for a few days. Since this cooking pot (dutch oven) is not too heavy, the cleaning is easy.Note: I bought this item at a discount from Amazon. When it arrived I noticed a little brownish discoloration at the bottom. I concluded that was the reason for the discounted price. Then each time I washed and dried it, I wiped the interior bottom with a thin layer of oil, before putting it back in storage. It looks as good today (5/31/2022) as the day its arrived. This dutch oven found a place in my kitchen and delivered stability to my diet, by having the capacity to cook large amounts of food. I no longer feel jealous when looking at comparable pots that cost an extra $100. I paid $40 tax included in July 2021. I got my money worth and am very happy with the purchase.

Nice Pan For Large Batches Of Soup, Chili Or Sauces
This is my preferred pot to use when I make chili or a lot of sauce to freeze. It’s a nice pot and I would recommend it.

Great size
The pot is a great size- for soups and sauces and large pasta for company dishes . The only reason I gave 4 stars is that the instructions advise is to not cook on high heat. But - so far I don’t see any problems with it.

I love this pot
I had a large dutch over from All-Clad that I loved and used endlessly for about 5 years. It was coated with the typical black non-stick coating which, unfortunately; started to peel off. It needed replaced and this is what I chose. So wish I had gotten this one in the first place. I love this pot. It's much bigger than my gas burner but it heats evenly and is just a great pot. I love it. I use it mostly to make a huge pot of soup which has become a weekly thing to do since I got it. My family has taken to getting a bowl of soup whenever they're hungry. Tremendous reduction in the frozen pizzas and pot pies. This pot assists me in making wonderful soups that are much healthier and I believe saves me some money. If you need a really large pot I highly recommend this one.

Awesome pot
Very nice capacity. For the price it is plenty sturdy. Great addition to the heavy cast-iron enamel Dutch oven to allow for bigger recipes. Cleans up OK, too.

Great for induction!
I’ve included photos so you can see my 8 inch burner, my 11 inch burner, and the measurement on the bottom of this pot. I was concerned about cooking on the smaller induction burner, but it worked fine. The size is perfect for many uses. I’m very happy with the performance of this pot.

Great quality
I was looking for a workhorse Dutch oven. The width of the 9 quart Tramontina Dutch oven was about 14 inches if my memory serves. It was too wide for my electric stove top’s largest burner that’s 9.5 inches in diameter. This is suitable for a gas range or oven use only. I tried making soup in it but because of the wide shallow design it evaporated the liquid very quickly. Stocks will reduce at lightening speed. I am a vegetarian. So I think this Dutch oven is much more useful and suitable for meat braises in the oven. I had no use for it. So I returned it. I use my 4 quart and 8 quart Fissler Pressure cooker 3 times a day. The product itself is high quality. I have purchased Logde enamel covered Dutch ovens. They chip and crack and get spiderweb cracks in the enamel. So I wound up tossing them. Stainless steel was the next logical choice. It won’t chip. Anyway, I just cook for two. After trying it, I returned it. If I ate meat and had a gas stove this would be ok. But I still prefer my Fissler 8 quart pressure cooker hands down.
