The perfect everyday carry
This is a great pack if you are looking for something fairly compact that can carry all you need for the day. I've been using it daily for about a week now and I honestly can't find a single thing to complain about. I currently carry the following in this bag: - 14" HP laptop - 13" Macbook Air - Klean Canteen Classic - Wired headset with microphone - Logi Pebble keyboard - Logi Pebble mouse - Small notebook - USB cable Yes, this bad boy will fit both of my laptops. That was the main requirement that I had for a bag and I was pleasantly surprised that this could accommodate both at the same time. The bag looks great, feels sturdy, and has good padding. The strap is comfortable and well padded and the zippers seem like they will hold up well. I like that there aren't half a million compartments for things to get lost in. Almost everything I use on a daily basis goes in the main compartment and it still feels well organized. The large compartment opens wide and is easy to access. The front compartment is great for holding cables or smaller items and has a key clip with a fairly long tether. If I was trying to pack for an overnight, I'd probably choose a different bag because it fits everything listed comfortably and without strain, but trying to pack in a change of clothes probably wouldn't work. For everyday carry, though, this is currently my favorite bag. For the price, this is a fantastic compact bag that can carry more than you might expect.

Delivers on all promises with a premium look and feel for this price point
TLDR (explanation below!) - fraction of the size of a typical backpack - fits a 15” MacBook Air (I know some are wondering) but read below first - premium feel proportional to the greater price tag - good for daily use for specific items, not throwing random extra things in - haven't had it long, but Tomtoc products always hold up for me ««EDIT»» It’s been another 4 months so I can confirm the last point now. Usually my cheap Amazon stuff that lasts a long time would still have some loose threads or torn seams here and there by this point nonetheless, but this is still in perfect condition. And that’s even with the laptop putting tension on the top/zipper as I describe below- no sign of stress on any of the materials there at all. It’s a snug fit, but I’m comfortable telling you that your MacBook Air 15” will be fine. It’s a very thin laptop though so I won’t speak for all 15” laptops necessarily, but I can say that as long as the length/width dimensions are no greater than the MacBook Air’s (seriously, not even a little), it can be a thicker 15” laptop and definitely still fit). ««Original explanations»» This is NOT a backpack. It is 7L compared to the typical backpack size range of 20-35L. Not a knock on the product, the marketing is fully transparent about what this is. But I think people see how it looks and think it might be a good way to downsize their daily backpack, not realizing how substantially smaller it is. It’s great as a carrying case for certain specific things that you need everyday, but not something you can just toss stuff into regularly. I assume this is by intent since if we’re being honest, I’d bet a lot of Tomtoc customers are dudes looking for something that 100% isn’t a purse, but just so happens to serve the exact same function. And that it does. Fits 15” MacBook Air. I bought this only after seeing another review here confirming it fit his MacBook Air (implying 15”). I’m sure I’m not the only one who was wondering if I could get away with it, so here’s my advice: it is true, it “fits”, and I carry it in this bag everyday. I don’t have a case on it, nor could I. As you can see in photos, it really is as big as you can possibly squeeze in there, and it does put tension on the top/zipper. No sign of wear and tear or strain at all, but it’s early. Also exposes the corners to damage if the bag fell top first. Just wanted to post this as an addendum to that other review. I have no regrets, but if you want something that truly fits your 15” laptop in the typical sense and doesn’t leave it vulnerable, this isn’t it (and importantly, doesn’t claim to be). Premium Quality. I’m guessing this is considered the budget brand Alpaka, but compared to the usual Amazon stuff I can afford, this is the gold standard of quality. I’m not even sure what the true premium brands would even improve on. If you typically buy $20-40 products like this on Amazon as I do, I promise you Tomtoc is worth every single additional penny for the premium quality, appearance, and durability. I haven’t had this very long, but I’ve had other Tomtoc products with similar materials and construction and they’ve all been great.

Perfectly holds dBrand Killswitch with cover plate Nintendo Switch 2.
Perfectly holds dBrand Killswitch with cover plate for Nintendo Switch 2. It has plenty of room over head of the Switch 2 with cover plate but the strap is at the top of the game console when inserted into the slot normally intended for the slim laptop or tablet. Also there is a lot more room in that laptop/tablet slot even with the game console to the left/right if you need it. The whole sling backpack is well put together and smaller than a traditional backpack but larger than a traditional sling bag. The zipper seems like it is high quality and durable, it is larger than a typical zipper (on most backpacks) in the teeth and pull tab. Supposedly the zipper is made by YKK (which is the best average consumer zipper maker). The stitching seems quality and I have no complaints about the rest of the backpack except one and that is that it was intended for a laptop/tablet and not for a portable game console. So the slots are not designed for game controllers or chargers but there is enough room in the backpack for anything you need to carry. I got mine for just under $50 on Cyber-Monday and would say it was worth the money. The original case I got was the tomtoc slingbag for the Switch 2 and it would fit the console without a case but would not be able to zip up with the dBrand Killswitch case+cover plate+dBrand Joy-Con 2 grips for the Nintendo Switch 2; but this 7L tomtoc sling backpack has plenty of room.

Very Good EDC Bag
I like this bag quite a bit. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars, is because I feel like the mark of a truly great bag is when you're stunned at how much you're able to fit inside it. I don't get that with this bag. I like the zippers, I like the compartments, and I like the shoulder strap. However, often I'm frustrated that no amount of re-arranging will allow me to fit quite what I think I should be able to fit. The bigger compartments on the inside that hold a tablet always seem to interfere with whatever is in the other sleeve, so you have to reach in and re-arrange just to allow the tablet to fully slide down into place. Small inconveniences, but still they cause some frustration in daily use. Otherwise it's a good external size for what I was looking for, and it's comfortable to wear.

No more big buckle to detach strap
Absolutely PERFECT for a 13" Macbook Air. Would fit a 14" as well. One of the very few laptop bags that doesn't look like a laptop bag. Good padding to protect your laptop. Good amount of storage for EDC stuff. A couple of CAVEATS though: 1. The strap on the one I got doesn't have a big detachable buckle - which means you can't easily unbuckle it to get it on or off. You can still detach it from the bottom end though. A bit annoying, but not huge. 2. The one I got also doesn't have the red thread on the front zipper. These aren't dealbreakers, but be aware that it looks like the newer models have tweaked a few things. Still a great bag in my opinion.

My favorite Macbook Air sling!
Growing up, my dad always carried a man-purse whenever he traveled. As a kid, I found it a bit odd, but now I realize he was onto something. Fast forward to today, and I've finally embraced the concept—except this time, it's with the Tomtoc Sling Bag, and I couldn't be happier. The first thing that struck me about this sling was its incredible build quality. The materials feel sturdy yet lightweight, and the zippers glide smoothly—no snagging or struggling to open and close the compartments. The sling itself is compact, but don't let that fool you; it's impressively spacious. I'm able to fit my 13-inch MacBook Air and iPad mini with ease, alongside my daily essentials like keys, wallet, headphones, a snack, and some gum. There's even room to spare for a small notebook or an extra charger. What truly sets the Tomtoc Sling apart from other bags I've tried (including some that cost twice as much, like Nomatic) is the thoughtful design. The interior is well-organized with padded compartments to keep your devices secure, and the exterior pocket is perfect for quick access items like my phone or a boarding pass when I travel. The adjustable strap is another win—it's comfortable and stays in place, whether I'm wearing it across my chest or over my shoulder. While I’m not quite at the stage where this is my everyday carry, it’s become my go-to for days when I need to bring my laptop to the office or for a quick outing like a fantasy football draft. It’s the perfect middle ground between a full-sized backpack and a pocket-stuffing nightmare. The slim profile also makes it easy to store under a plane seat or in a crowded coffee shop without taking up too much space. One of the things I appreciate most about this sling is how it’s made my life more organized. No more digging through multiple pockets to find my keys or wallet—everything has its place, and the peace of mind that comes with that is priceless. Plus, for the quality you get at this price, it’s a steal. In short, the Tomtoc Sling Bag has exceeded my expectations in every way. Whether you're a seasoned traveler, a tech enthusiast, or just someone looking for a convenient and stylish way to carry your essentials, this bag is a fantastic choice. Highly recommended!

Amazing bag.
I recently got my hands on the tomtoc Compact EDC Sling Bag, and I'm genuinely impressed. As someone who's always on the go, this bag has quickly become my favorite companion. Its compact size doesn't compromise on space – I can easily fit my essentials without feeling bulky. What really sets it apart is the thoughtfully designed compartments. I'm a stickler for organization, and this bag delivers. Whether it's my phone, wallet, keys, or a small notebook, everything has its dedicated space. Compact and Spacious
I am absolutely thrilled with Tomtoc's Compact EDC Sling Bag - it's a five-star product. It's exactly what I've been looking for: a compact bag that doesn't skimp on space. The first thing I noticed about it was its neat and minimalistic design. However, don't let its compact build fool you; this bag is far roomier than it initially appears. The main selling point for me was its capacity to hold both my laptop and Kindle Scribe, a feature not easy to find in other sling bags of comparable size. This bag was clearly designed with the tech-savvy urbanite in mind. Whether I'm heading to a café, co-working space, or just walking around the city, lugging a heavy backpack is the last thing I want to do. The Tomtoc EDC Sling Bag has completely revolutionized the way I carry my gear. Its design perfectly combines comfort, weight distribution, and convenience. What stands out most about the Compact EDC Sling Bag is its effortless merging of comfort and productivity. The strain of carrying heavy productivity gear is significantly reduced thanks to the clever design, which evenly distributes the weight, making it feel lighter - an ideal feature if you're constantly on the move. Although it's compact enough not to be in the way, this sling bag doesn't compromise on its duty of protecting my devices. My laptop and Kindle fit snugly and securely inside, giving me peace of mind while I'm out and about. Overall, the Tomtoc Compact EDC Sling Bag has exceeded my expectations in so many ways. Its invaluable convenience, size, and design make it stand out from the rest of the market. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone who needs a compact, sturdy, and easy-to-carry bag for their everyday gear. So, would I repurchase it? Without a doubt, yes! Whether for myself or as a gift for a friend, I am confident in the value that this bag offers. I give it a solid five stars and I'm thrilled to stand behind it..

Another Fantastic Tomtoc Bag – My Fourth and Counting!
I’ve been a huge fan of Tomtoc bags for years, and this is my fourth purchase from them. Once again, they’ve knocked it out of the park! I bought the Tomtoc Compact EDC Sling Bag specifically for a recent trip as my personal carry-on, and it did not disappoint. Despite its sleek and compact design, this bag fit everything I needed snugly—my iPad Pro 12.9” (complete with Apple Magic keyboard), AirPods Max, Kindle, wallet, passport, and a few other essentials. The organization is top-notch, making it easy to access everything without fumbling around. Comfort-wise, it’s excellent. The sling style is ergonomic, making it super comfortable to wear for long periods. It’s also quick and easy to take on and off, especially when going through airport security. The only thing I would have liked is a dedicated spot to easily clip my AirTag. While I was able to attach it inside, a built-in key loop or an external clip would have made it even more convenient. Hopefully, Tomtoc considers adding this in future designs! If you’re looking for a versatile, well-built, and stylish everyday carry bag, I can’t recommend this one enough. Tomtoc continues to impress, and this will definitely not be my last purchase from them!

comfortable sling bag with loads of space for a remarkable 2 + other EDC essentials
great size for a remarkable 2 e-ink writer which fits snugly in the tablet slot (note stylus goes in attacheed but it is a snug fit so the stylus will likely be pulled off the tablets magnetic attachment on removal from the bag if not careful). Just Not quite big enough for an Asus expert book. sturdy comfortable and well laid-out interior pockets and slots. mine currently has my remarkable2, wallet (trove) + Ti mini pen + credit card sizes battery bank), iphone, earbuds, keys, gloves, woolly hat, a 10ltr lightweight collapsible back pack (decathlon) and a maxpedition mini pocket organiser EDC pouch in it and still has space in the rear hidden pocket for a Passport sized wallet) and a couple of 500ml water bottles inside without bulging.
