Can this be worn for swimming ?

I kept this on whilst scuba diving, ‘only’ to 25 metres but it still works perfectly. Swimming will be no problem at all, as long as you don’t have the battery changed, as the seal is very unlikely to be intact after.

is this watch compatible with nato straps? And how do i know if a watch is compatible with a nato strap?

yes - measure between the lugs where the straps affix, I think on this model it is 20mm, but confirm with ruler. Then go on a site that sells nato straps and order one of the relavant width. Some sellers will tell you they are only made in 22mm, but this is not so. An internet search will find one for you.

What's the width of the strap please? I'd like to change it to Geckota® Nylon Canvas strap and wondering what size to get. Thank you!

Obviously I still believe it to be 18mm and yet amazingly I can't find that info in any specs for the watch on-line from various sellers over the last 30 minutes!! You could try contacting them at service@seiko.co.uk which is the contact link on the official Lorus web site. I can only reiterate that 18mm straps fit mine perfectly.
