Stormsure Flexible Repair Adhesive: (3 x 5g) Clear Glue - Highly Durable, Waterproof Glue for All Repairs

The sole of my walking boot had split significantly along the inner edge. The boot itself was still in good condition and the sole still had plenty of tread on it. Me and these boots have walked many, many miles over all terrains over the years and I was loathe to begin the process of breaking in a new pair without at least attempting to salvage my old faithful pair. Having read the reviews for Stormsure Flexible Repair Adhesive and watched a couple of 'how to' videos on You Tube I decided it was worth a try. Was it ever! I cleaned the surfaces to be glued of dirt and debris and applied a good amount of the adhesive, then taped around the boot and join to keep the surfaces together. Because of the liberal amount of adhesive I'd used I allowed 48 hours curing time before removing the tape and applying a little more glue in the areas where the product had settled into the split, as a final sealant along the join. 48 hours later it was time for the test. Would it really hold up over the hilly and rocky terrain I was planning to test it on? Indeed yes! After some 70 or so miles the seam is still holding wonderfully and my feet remain dry after several dunks into streams and mud. So for the cost of a coffee and cake I can now hopefully look forward to many more miles of roaming in my comfy old boots. And by buying the 3 pack of small tubes I still have one unopened tube for any future minor repairs. Absolute bargin!!

Used to repair a three inch pocket tear on a Barbour jacket, this has done the job perfectly. Easy to apply effectively after watching a couple of Stormsure instructional videos on YouTube, it cures fairly quickly and provides a flexible, waterproof seal as advertised. It's far from being an invisible mend of course, but it's not "point and laugh" noticeable either. Great stuff, highly recommended.

This is the right glue for shoe repair I believe. Very strong adhesion, quite thick, tacky and high viscosity and fairly toxic, came with gloves, my trainers were coming apart from the vulcanised rubber sole to upper, I got 60% adhesion the rest dried hard but clear. Way better than all the other epoxy resins. My tip is to fill the gap with a cocktail stick then hold with masking tape and fill boot with scrunched up paper and leave for 48 hours or use clamps or something. Time will tell how this holds and if I need to reapply the glue as I could have used the tape better and inserted shoe filler to allow the glue to adhere properly. You also need to clean and lightly sand just like for a bicycle tire or something. Generally happy as I think I could have used more skill in getting a better hold. Hope my review helps and gives other tips to use it as best you can. Time will be a teller.

I use mainly to repair worn areas on soles of walking shoes and find it more durable than Shoe Goo - and better value. I find buying 3 small tubes rather than 1 large tube helps the sealant last longer in the tube. As per instructions, I keep part-used tubes in the freezer.

Oh, how I hate throwing out perfectly good wellies that fit and are comfortable because of a split. Now I don't have to. This stuff is literally like magic, and so far (3 months or so) holding out well. My split was about 2cm long at the usual outer toe crease place. I squeezed it into the crack itself first, let that cure, then covered the area as the instructions say. Always use something (I use a dental stick) to spread the glue because it has little bubbles in it and this action gets rid of them. You don't want a bubble through your waterproof layer after all. And you freeze it between uses. Make sure you squeeze the glue right up to the end and a bit beyond to ensure no air is trapped inside the cap when you replace it. I didn't do it well enough the first time, and the glue was definitely a bit thick and not as easy to use the second time. The third time, when I did it properly, it was like new. Well worth watching. I went for the three pack rather than the big tube as it goes quite a long way. Yes, they're little tubes, but use it before you complain about the size. I did loads with one tube - the wellie and multiple splits in 3 trainers as well as sealing where I'd glued on a sole that was coming away on another trainer. All successful. Will save you a bomb on leisure shoes.

I used this glue to repair a split in my wellies. Once I managed to get it set, it worked really well — it sealed the hole and has stopped pretty much most of the water getting back in. The main issue is that it’s quite difficult to clamp the edges of the wellie together properly while the glue sets. That part was fiddly and took some effort. Overall, it does the job if you’re patient, but if you have a cheap pair of wellies it’s probably not worth the .

Update: found this pretty effective for reinforcing the soles on cheap kids' shoes. Applied liberally where the rubber is clearly wearing thin or even beginning to split, this ekes some useful extra life out of those supermarket specials. Bought to repair leaky wellies, which is one of the recommended uses for this. Adhered well to the rubber but perhaps location of split puts the adhesive under too much repeated stress and it doesn't seal the fissure despite being flexible. Only got through a fraction of one tube trying so plenty left for anything else it might help with, storing in freezer as recommended. Rather lacking in consistent and legible instructions, with the most detailed usage directions being in about half-point font on the tubes themselves, and not entirely agreeing with other instructions online etc. Don't think this significantly contributed to the lack of success with the welly repair attempt, just a task too far even for a "miracle" product.

bought this to fix my inflatable Intex kayak which, despite its claimed "US Military grade" (insert Vietnam joke here) pvc, mysteriously punctured on the inside with no explanation. Was somewhat sceptical having also tried to fix my last Intex kayak (which also mysteriously punctured) with epoxy resin, without success. Anyway - this stuff got the job done, and I am happy to report that i've successfully not drowned on two subsequent kayak trips. You don't get a huge amount in the 3 tube packet, but you don't need a lot, at least for my purposes. Recommended and thanks for prolonging the life of my kayak!

I use this product to build up worn spots in the soles of walking shoes. I tend to walk off the outsides of heels. This product fills in those wear spots and is harder than the original rubber/foam surface, thereby making the shoes more durable. IMPORTANT to know -- this is a "self-leveling" product. It flows like water, only very slowly. To fix heels, wrap the outside with masking tape, as a dam to keep from running down the side of the shoe, then prop the shoe up so the filled area is perfectly level with where you want the material to level out. After a few hours, the material sets up to where you can move the shoes. I usually put them over a heat vent to cure - 1 day is best. They'll adhere to almost any surface and could have a LOT of uses, but building up worn soles on shoes is one place where the product really shines.
