I've had it two only years and sadly the surface is shredding, and one area has warped.

I mean, you know how big it is before you buy it, but you don't really know how big it is until you see it. This thing is way bigger than I should probably ever need, and it is friggin awesome. I just wish it cost a little less because you could get a bunch of smaller ones that make up more area for way less, but I also understand there are differences in cost of production and shipping -- so, no real complaints there. If you want a big one...do it.

This cutting board is exceptional. I searched the internet for the largest cutting board under one hundred dollars. Amazon did not disappoint. It is very heavy. Due to the weight, you should not stand it up on the floor or lean it against a wall. It must lay flat or it will warp. Measure your table before purchasing. It cannot overlap your table or it will curl up on the ends. I cannot iterate this fact enough. I am thrilled with this cutting mat. Way superior than using cardboard. I wish that I had purchased it sooner.

This mat works I love the size but I would not call it self healing. Having 2 usable sides is a bonus so I use primarily one side then turn it around then I flip it over and go side to side again. The size on my 36 x 84 inch cutting table is the bonus.

I was concerned about how this was going to arrive in the mail, being so flat and large. It was folded and stuffed pretty tight in a box and had a big hump when I tried to lay out. Within minutes of laid out in a room temperature room it flattened out perfectly. I am a craft person that sews and this mat works perfectly with my rotary cutter. I am very pleased.
