This worked great, I plugged it in to my Mac it downloaded and formed my drive and back it up in 30 minutes.

Beauty queen of external hard drives
Excellent design which I have not seen in any portable hard drive. It is big in size and those of you who are used to slim SSDs manage your expectations. Nothing special in functionality, it just works.

For a Mac, it needs to be plugged into the computer, not the monitor, if separate.
This external HD is very attractive and (now!) seems to work well. Initially I decided to send it back as I could not get it to work with my Mac. Then I got some technical advice from a very good person at the local Apple store. It turns out this drive, which is set up for a PC, has to be attached directly to the computer itself to be reformatted to work with a Mac. I have a Mac Mini and a separate monitor. I had plugged it into a port on the monitor. Now fine. Relatively easy to set up. Not sending it back.

This product is unusable. Could not connect with MAC PC do to password log on issues and customer service was no help. Very disappointed as this purchase was a waste of money!

Ich nutze das LaCie Mobile Drive Moon mit 2TB jetzt seit einiger Zeit und bin rundum zufrieden. Das Design ist wirklich hochwertig – das silberne Aluminiumgehäuse sieht nicht nur gut aus, sondern fühlt sich auch sehr stabil an. Passt perfekt zu MacBooks, macht aber auch an Windows-PCs eine gute Figur. Die Einrichtung war absolut unkompliziert: anschließen und loslegen. Die Festplatte wird sofort erkannt und arbeitet zuverlässig. Die Übertragungsgeschwindigkeit ist für eine mobile HDD völlig ausreichend, egal ob Fotos, Videos oder größere Backups. Besonders für unterwegs oder als Backup-Lösung ist sie ideal. Positiv hervorzuheben ist auch die kompakte Größe – sie passt problemlos in jede Tasche. Zudem arbeitet sie angenehm leise und wird nicht heiß. Fazit: Wer eine schicke, solide und zuverlässige externe Festplatte sucht, macht mit der LaCie Mobile Drive Moon 2TB definitiv nichts falsch. Klare Kaufempfehlung!
