Excellent product. Fitted well on corner of house, so doesn't scrape the hose when pulled out to extend. Guides easily and even the ball stopper on the end of the auto reel passes through with ease. Would recommend.

The hozelock universal hose-guide #2392 is a very useful addition to a wall-mounted hose. Let me say straight away - it CAN be installed either on a flat wall or on a corner wall. Many people have posted in the Q&A section that it cannot be installed on a flat wall, or only if you use blocks or wood. They are wrong. On the back of the display card are 3 diagrams. One shows how to remove the guide from the display card (a couple of screws need to be undone). Another shows how to mount it on the corner of a wall, and a third diagram shows how to mount it onto a flat wall. In essence, there are two mounting holes for screws at each corner of the guide's base. One set are at a suitable angle for mounting on a flat wall, and the other set are suitable for mounting on a corner. I use one of these a few feet away from my wall-mounted reel. It allows me to drag my hose around the garden without pulling on the reel itself, all the force is taken by this guide. Meanwhile I can pull out or retract the hose easily - as the hose is in a straight line between the guide on the wall and the reel. I am sure that as well as making it easier to use, it will prolong the life of the reel. It was easy to install, but did not come with screws or other fittings, you will need to provide those yourself.

Excellent product does exactly as it says. Sturdy, easy to fit, hose glides well through it. I am pleased with my purchase and recommend it. Quick delivery too.

So far no hitches encountered. Used it for feeding the hose over a highish fence close to a brick wall at right angles to the fence, and fixed it say approx 15 cm above the top of the fence. I had to remove the collar-surround on the hose (which is normally fitted on the hose approx 30 cm from the hose sprayer) to facilitate feeding the hose through the rollers of the of the guide. In fact I left this off permanently as it's not necessary as an automatic rewind stop on the hose that I have, as the sprayer stops it back-feeding into the automatic hose rewind aperture. Quite satisfied, but as others have mentioned, it would have been beneficial had it also been supplied with 4 screw and plug fixings, at least for a brick wall.

This is a good quality substantial item that has made use of my garden hose so much easier. Only slight negative is it doesn't come with fixing screws

This is now the 4th one I have bought. They are great would be greater still if they included the screws but hose guide works a treat . Stops grout being worn as the hose is dragged around the corner . Helps prevent damage to plants by lifting clear of the beds and improves the operation of the hose due to the small wheels in the centre of the hozelock . I love them . In addition to using the guide for the hose I also feed the electric trimmer and mower and extension leads (separately) through the guide to keep the wire out of the flower beds and out of any rain water . You need to push the plug in diagonally but once it's in it keeps the wires from being a hazard on my steps and damaging any of my delicate flower heads.

So, this Hozelock product is over 3 times more expensive than a perfectly reputable alternative. However, that one happened to be dark green, and my wife wanted grey... Do you get more for your money other than the colour? Both are well made. The answer is yes but not in terms that you would want. Yes, you get a headache having to undo no fewer than four screws to get the display card off. Coupled with a fear that the thing will fall apart if you are not careful once the screws are out. Followed by the delight of replacing all four. Screws, for the money do you get the four screws and plugs necesssary to fix the product to the wall? No. So another headache, going and finding some suitable pan headed screws. BTW, note the black hex driving ones I happened to have. Adds a bit of panache to the mundane. Help fixing it? The instructions on that card, see the photo, are so minute and poor that it took two of us, one a tradesman, and trial and error to work out which holes to use - before drilling the brickwork in the wrong place. Mercifully. This is all typical Hozelock. A basically good product, sold at an excessive price, with some bean counter having worked out that, for the saving of a few pence, aggravating the customer is acceptable.

Highly recommend. This works great on the corner of our deck to keep the hose off our shrubs. Ill update after winter if doesnt hold up. So far it looks pretty sturdy
