Specimen Aural Tests, Grades 1-3 with 2 CDs: new edition from 2011 (Specimen Aural Tests (ABRSM))

This book provides good practice for the student preparing for music exams.The slight drawback is that the pieces are a bit tricky for a parent. I have a good music background including piano but had to practice the pieces in advance to play them fluidly for my Grandson.We have used the YouTube videos with success.

Really useful for helping my students through their ABRSM exams!

The CD only can be played in computer or CD player. It can not be played in mobile phone.Most audio could be found in YouTube. So it is not worth to buy it.

I need more exercises for my pupils otherwise they know what to expect which somewhat ruins the whole point,

This book I know well and needed a newer copy to replace a worn out one. It arrived in great condition and very promptly.

Useful book - essential for exam prep

Was excellent for helping my daughter through her grade 1 violin exam . It was great that it came with the cd as well, although I play the piano and the aural tests are conducted through the piano , I found it very handy that I have a choice. So it is not necessary for the parent to know any music at all to use this book. Would fully recommend for helping any music student through the aural part of the exams.
