These are nice, well-made molds. They are just the right firmness to support whatever you are filling them with (chocolate, fondant, resin, wax or polymer clay--they work for any of these) while being soft and flexible enough to easily de-mold at the same time.These frames are on the fragile side, so they must be de-molded carefully to prevent distortion. I find that putting softer materials like chocolate, wax or fondant in the refrigerator until they are cool may help. Gently press any that may have become distorted while de-molding, onto a flat surface to restore their shape.

These intricate silicone molds are the real deal! Whether you're a baker or a soap maker, you'll appreciate the delicate, intricate design of this 4-mold set (or in my case, three mold set--more on that momentarily).I used this to create a white chocolate 'frame' on a set of shortbread cookies that I baked for a fundraiser, and they were lovely. It took a bit of time to form 24 molds for two dozen cookies, but once you get the hang of it (how much volume these hold) you'll be fine.So, why did I say "three" molds? One of them came out prefabricated in a way that is uselessly shallow (see photo).The other three were great, but having one of a set that has this defect was a bit of a downer. I made do, but beware that this glitch may have found its way into other sets too.Overall, a great addition for those of you who need a silicone mold with great attention to detail.
