my daughter wants to make magnetic putty. Would this be suitable to mix with a flexible putty and then use with a strong magnet?

I agree with Tony that the resulting magnetic putty may go rusty, depending on the oil and water content of the putty. Additionally, the grain size of the filings is somewhat variable. It would be an interesting experiment but I would be inclined to ask buyers of the premixed magnetic putty if it's flexible enough, and buy it on that basis.

How much is this in terms of tablespoons?

Not much more than one but enough to have fun with!

Can you mix it with water

Hello, Iron will corrode in water, therefore we wouldn't suggest this. Many Thanks Magnet Expert.

Could I mix this with blackboard paint to create a magnetic surface?
