It's about 2 inches and not uncomfortable to wear

Yes, but you will need to put it in the dryer after you get them out. If not it will br uncomfortable for them and possibly cause sores

Is the large size wider? The medium is a little narrow for the feeding tube.

Yes LARGE IS BETTER THAN MEDIUM BUY IT!! Note the tube is for dialysis and I guess it can be used for feeding too.
