My grandson is 7 and wears size 11, would the smaller size work?

These are true to children's sizes, so the small should work.

Are these sized for little kids or teenagers? My child wears a women's size 5. Would these fit her?

I bought these in a small for my 5 year old granddaughter who wore a size 12 shoe. They were a little big but I bought her a pair of skaters socks to wear.

Are these girls (lake placid) hollow ground so you can't touch them up (uh, sharpen them)?

Child: boots feel five stars, buckles are 5 stars, and the blade is so smooth I fell. Very good skatesAdult: skates look very well made, smooth hard plastic, buckles are very nice and slide smooth. The blades come sharpened, and child says the skating feels very smooth and that he loves them. Says the boots are very comfortable. Also, the inner lining is also adjustable. These skates are fantastic! The price is the cherry on top
