I was looking for clear and complete explanations and I think Le Bescherelle is made keeping in mind the student.I will recommend the full series..la Conjugaisoon, la Grammaire and l'OrthographeAnother excellent french grammar book is Le Petit Grevisse but I found it more complexed.

Great go to grammar book. It does answer most of any French language student initial questions,very comprehensive ,each explanation is followed by multiple examples.Love the whole Bescherelle series!

I really liked the book. Whenever I need about French language I can find in this reference book. A must-have for anyone wanting to excell in French.

Really good book for grammar, however, it is not recommended for those people that don't have a little bit of previous french knowledge.Anyway it is a great reference book, but it does not work for self-study.
