Great for repairing ski kit
I am always getting tiny cuts around the ankles of my ski pants from sharp ski edges. These iron on patches are great for repairing them if you have black pants. While not invisible they are very fine weave, pretty unobtrusive, and they stop tears getting bigger and/or showing fluffy insulation. Always keep them with my ski kit.

They do stick but not well
As others have said these are easy to carefully iron on and difficult or impossible for them to stay on properly. I, like others, followed the instructions to the letter and therefore assumed I'd get it right. No, unfortunately others have done the same as me and still had less than perfect results. No idea why this should be. Mine is still in position after a number of washes but all of the edges are unstuck.

Saved a pair of trousers!
Filled a small hole in a pair of trousers. Easy to use with good adhesion which has performed perfectly over two wash cycles.

Patch perfect
Great for patching a hole in trousers. Easy to use. Followed instructions and the patch has stayed in place after several washes. Saved having to buy another item of clothing. Wish I'd found this earlier.

Not good for fine fabric.
I bought this for a fine, linen shirt. I thought maybe it would soften up, but it hasn’t. It’s ok for a thicker polyester cotton or even cotton, but not for something softer and a more sheer linen.

Works perfectly
Used this as backing under ripped jeans. Used greaseproof paper to protect the iron. Worked perfectly.

Successful job
Bought to cover a thin patch on the side of a mattress protector. Was wary of the heat needed to make it stick as the sides of the protector are synthetic, so I put a cloth over the patch before ironing. It stuck well and I think it will withstand washing.

Reasonable amount, reasonably easy to use
I was looking for a fabric that was sufficiently thin and smooth - most of the patches I could buy locally were either denim ones, or not the colour I needed. The aim was to cover a logo on my daughter's favourite PE track suit bottoms. The fabric was just what I needed - a synthetic thin thread smooth finish, the patch is quite big so could have fixed 5 pairs of trousers with that. In terms of application, first put the iron on the 2 dots in order to be careful and held for 35 seconds and nothing happened, the glue did not melt even remotely. Could be caused by the fact that I surrounded the patched area with other cloths to make sure I do not melt the trousers. So abandoned caution used highest heat setting on the iron and the patch attached easily. Did iron it a bit longer after the recommended time for a good measure. Very happy with the result.

tissue paper
when they say soft, they mean nonexistent. This patch material is ridiculous.

Patched all the little holes in my sheet
My sheet looks almost new now. (the good side; not the patched side). The instructions recommend using as hot an iron as my the material will withstand. I noticed the "cotton" setting barely broke 300℉ (using a laser thermometer) so I cranked it to the maximum instead. That raised the temperature another 30-40℉.At first I didn't notice the instructions said to iron the other side after applying the patch. I also pre-warmed the fabric before applying the patch in the first place.Looks good to me, but I haven't put it through the washer yet. Some reviewers complained the edges peel in the washer. I wonder if they used a hot enough iron, and did both sides. Maybe they washed in water that was too hot. Hypothetically, this stuff should withstand any temperature of hot water (up to 140℉), but it seems to me it would be better to use mildly warm water, if that. The instructions made no mention of washing the fabric, which seems odd.

Also selbstversuch...
