does it help to ready the catalyst sensor if you dont have cat on your car?

YES, I have these fitted to numerous cars that run aftermarket self tuning EFI systems with zero cats fitted. They definitely extend the life of the O2 sensor plus assist with smoothing the AFR readings. Just my observations & experiences, well worth fitting them.

I have a porsche 2001 911 i put new o2 sensors but still the check engine code comes up would this help

If you are killing the o2 sensors then yes this could fix that issue if you are sure it is the o2 sensors that are dieing that are causing the check engine light.
