Does uv cleaning use a light bulb and how often does it need to be replaced. i know that uv bulbs must be replaced often to be effective?

I’ve had this unit for a few months now, and my grandmother has had it for a couple of years. Neither of us have ever had to replace this bulb. It’s an LED and makes for a perfect night light as well. It also has a switch on the back of the unit to turn the light on and off so if you decide u don’t like the light u can just turn it off.
