A stunning camera- superb image quality!!!!!!!!
Absolutely delighted with this compact camera. Did a lot of research before buying and everything from build quality, user interface, controls and image quality is outstanding. Yes, it has a fixed lens and this maybe a constraint for some. Personally I think it’s a strength and bear in mind that there is a teleconverter at 50mm and 70mm within the menu interface. Love the film simulation options and the 1:1 format, if you decide to shoot at this ratio. Also got the Fuji lenshood and adapter ring to add protection along with a UV filter to protect the excellent lens. I could go on and on about this camera..... I love it!!!!!!

How a camera should be built
First sixty years of owning many different cameras from fixed to zoom and interchangeable lens. This camera has a nice fixed lens in my day day you took one photo and enlarged many from one negative. So as to the pros well the camera has been very well designed mostly all metal construction which gives you a nice solid feel when operating and taken photos. The small toggle on the rear is a nice to operate and all controls are very well laid out the weight is about right not too light this gives you a more shake free photo. The extra functions are nicely positioned I use three of them so can quickly access flash, self timer and focus settings there are more options should you need them .The fixed lens gives good depth of field and it has a built in filter so more options for depth of field should I require more. Most other items are the same as any other camera so no need to go into them. Cons no battery charger to use the micro charging cable is not such a good idea the contacts will soon wear away so I use a separate charger. The battery life icon is a little small . Maybe a small wrist strap would have been more acceptable than a neck strap. And as other reviewers pointed out the battery door does need clipping in, a spring loaded catch would have been nice. There is no perfect camera so compromises have to be made. I like this camera and if your budget allows I would consider this as I did you will not be disappointed

Fuji on a roll
Beautiful camera, stunningly executed engineering that could only be improved by an articulated screen and a second card slot.

Beautiful - but I regret buying it.
This camera is beautiful to look at, a delight to use, produces good results - but I regret buying it.If you want to know some of the great things about it, do read Ken Rockwell's excellent review. He goes into fine detail and is very enthusiastic, for good reason. Apart from the gorgeous looks and the pleasure of using a well-engineered camera, the prime benefits are:1. The colours, from a straight forward jpeg are just great for people.2. People don't take much notice of you because it LOOKS like a low tech old camera.3. It is effectively silent so people don't know you are taking pictures.4. The 'digital (stepped) zoom' works brilliantly. Many people will dismiss the idea of using a digital 'zoom' but hang on a minute. The enlarged images are optimised by some sort of Fuji magic and are far better than you may expect. Even on maximum 'zoom' the image size is still 12MP which, quite frankly is ample for a 10 x 8 enlargement or even bigger. If you mainly view your images on screen, just keep in mind that an HD TV screen or PC monitor is only about 2MP! Even a 4K TV screen is only a fraction over 8MP. 12MP is clearly ample for most of us most of the time.Think on this: the 23mm lens is equivalent to 35mm full frame lens. 'Zoom' that to maximum and you have an equivalent to a 70mm lens which is almost an ideal portrait lens. All of a sudden the limitations of that fixed 23mm lens fall away and become an advantage. It is a ‘stealth’ camera and a delight to use.Unfortunately, the lens is also a bit of a problem - to me. It is sharp but not bitingly sharp. That is great for portraits, rather like the renowned Minolta 85mm portrait lens that everyone copied. The Minolta and Fuji lenses are sharp without being sharp enough to be cruelly revealing to your model. That is great for people but disappointing for most other subjects. I would love it if the lens was a bit sharper. The annoying thing is that it would probably be quite easy to achieve. The camera even helps sharpness by being heavy and by having no shutter shock.Having realised this limitation plus the advantage of the stepped zoom and a fixed lens, I bought a cheap Sigma 30mm lens for my old Sony a6000 and programmed one of the buttons to give instant access to the Sony equivalent of stepped digital zoom. The results are better! Not only is it sharper, the max equivalent view is 90mm – which is well in the ideal portrait range. The a6000 is also lighter and it doesn’t attract much attention either.I spent all that money on a beautiful Fuji X100F, and lots of ancillaries, only to find that one of the old cameras I already had in a drawer was better. I don’t think I’m allowed to swear here but I would if I could.

Perfect travel camera
Bought this camera from local store. So happy with purchase, really is a joy to use and picture quality is excellent. You won’t be disappointed with this camera. Am enjoying the built in lens, will save me so much money not buying more lenses and even better to just bring one campact camera with you while traveling. Highly recommended

Ottima camera, bellissima esteticamente e qualità foto eccezionale.
