They're screwed in (flat groove, not Philips) - although the groove is so small you would need a precision screwdriver set to remove them. I've not had the need to do this, though.

Hows this different to a hohner blues harp? Im a beginner wanting to play along with my guitar, which is best ?

If you’re gonna play in a band, you may wanna consider get’n a set of harps over the time (depending on the key you’re playing in), on the premise, that not everything you’ll play will be in C .
