I really like this hat. It is light, it fits and it looks good. I bought mine in sage green, which I really like. It has a chin strap, which is fairly basic, but nevertheless it is functional and would keep the hat on in windy conditions. There have been times when walking when a baseball cap gets whipped off, which isn't so great if you are high on a hill, mountain or cliff edge. Also a baseball cap doesn't protect the tops of the ears or the back of the neck from sun exposure, whereas this hat does. I like the lightness of the material and for me the mesh part is ok - I appreciate that bald people don't like this feature, but if you have a good head of hair, it's not a problem and it keeps the head a little cooler. The adjustment band is basic, but functional. My head size is 23" (59cm) but I find the hat fits without being too tight - it is a snug fit and there is still some adjustment left on the head band. I don't know whether the hat would be suitable for a small head size - the band could be tightened, but this might result in folds in the material, which might not look so good. I really like the ability to clip one side, the other side, or both sides up (as shown in the product page picture). If it's a full sun day and I'm hiking and couldn't care less about appearances, then I would leave the hat "floppy" to keep the sun off my ears, neck and side of face. Otherwise I would wear it with one or both sides clipped up. This is great for summer wear, but it is not waterproof or insulating. If you need something warmer and waterproof then you need a goretex or leather type, which would be much more expensive. This definitely will be used on many occasions probably mostly when hiking over 3 seasons.

As a tour guide in need of a hat with UV protection, I came across this particular product. It appeared prominently among the top search results and boasted numerous positive reviews, so I decided to give it a try. Unfortunately, my experience with this hat left me quite disappointed. First and foremost, the price tag attached to this hat is unjustifiably high. The prominently displayed, oversized logo on the front of the hat was a major turn-off for me. It not only detracted from the hat's overall appearance but also clashed with the desired subtlety and elegance that I sought. On the positive side, the hat did provide adequate protection from UV rays, as advertised. It effectively shielded my face and head from the sun's harmful rays during my tours. In terms of comfort, the hat's fit was satisfactory. I like that it will stay on my head even if it's quite windy.The material used was decent. I'm not sure if the hat's cord is durable.

used the button ONCE it came off literally just one time. no extraordinary amount of pulling. clasp on, peel apart and off it came. the shape is rather annoying as it comes folded, so unless you want to spend some time ironing, you'll have to live with the misshapen-ness. the end of the tightening belt is messy, and they haven't even bothered with trimming off the excess string properly. the white structural fabric inside is flimsy and offers marginal rigidity. obviously, it doesn't help the poor shape it comes in and stays in, but it would help in folding it back up. the chin strap is also a really cheap feeling spongey fake leather. id much prefer it if they just used cotton or something. this won't last and there's no way to replace it short of cutting it off and sewing on something else. otherwise, it's a decent hat. the brim is a good size and thickness, the vents are nice but I'll have to see how well they work. I do wish it had a flatter brim, its more like an elongated bucket hat. as another customer said, you do need to sew the belt onto the cap as otherwise it will just ride upwards and not tighten properly. however, you can just move the buckle to between the 2 loops on either side (picture 3) and that keeps it in place. for the price you get what you pay for, but I'd gladly pay a little more for a better version of this. most other sun hats at this price are just plastic, and more dubious quality.

I ordered this particular UV sun hat because it was one of the few ventilated ones available. Described on the site as a ‘ frequently returned item due to size and style?’ I thought returns are easy so I’ll see for myself and I am glad that I did. Available in two sizes 50cm and 60cm I followed the sizing chart , did a quick measurement and opted for the larger size in the knowledge that even if it was a bit loose it could be tightened using the strap. Not tried it for doing a days work in a hot garden yet but I’m sure it will be fine . As for style the scarecrow look doesn’t bother me and compared to others costing twice as much it is good value for money. I don’t intend to go either horse riding or wind surfing in this hat so I will probably cut off the string tie as it might get a bit annoying.

I’ve only worn it once, and already this is my favourite hat. I spend a lot of time walking, and I wanted a hat that would keep the sun at bay (when it dares to show its face), yet not cause me to overheat. It has just the right amount of shade cover. The ventilation works well, and I’ve adjusted the band so that it fits perfectly – not too tight, just enough that it can resist the mischief of the occasional gust of wind (I’m at an age where running after a hat in the wind is amusing only for those watching and laughing), and in any case it has a neat and adjustable cord to retain it, and let me throw the hat jauntily onto my back like I was a cowboy in the old films. I think Amazon has rules about not having identifiable people in product pictures, so the pic attached is just the hat minus me, on a bench at the end of a long walk, and not the very fetching selfie of me on the road with the hat perched jauntily on my head, shielding my Sean Connery-like features from the mid-day sun. Ladies, you don’t know what you’ve missed, write to Amazon and complain. Incidentally, the bag beside the hat on the bench is the AmazonBasics ultralight outdoor backpack. A great companion to the hat on a day out. Not tried the hat in the rain yet, as there’s been precious little of that, but if perchance a gust of wind was successful in dislodging it from my cranium too fast for me to run after it with dignity, I’d definitely buy another. Go for it.

Decent enough but doesn't feel like a £13 hat. Can be found half the price elsewhere so that's no surprise...

This hat is so darn cool, bought it to keep the sun off my head, as I have very short hair and with temperatures forecast to get up in the mid 30°C's wanted to get something to stop my head burning. It's an Aussie style hat, well made, has a net to help stop sweating, it has a chin strap you can tighten to stop it blowing off in the breeze. Good quality, good price highly recommend this product

Çamaşır makinesinde 30'da yıkadım ve içini ıslakken küçük bir yastık ile destekleyerek kuruttum. Sonuç mükemmel. Ben hoşlandım. Tavsiye ederim.
