I have just bought a digital controller, do I need this track and what wires (a&b) will I need?

Yes you need this to connect the wire from the controller.You can use any wire different colours so you know which goes where.I used single strand small wire to connect from controller to this Power track Accessory so power comes from controller to the track .

Will this be suitable for upgrading from analogue track to digital track?

It is a power connector fixed to a peice of R600 track, it will work with analogue or DCC controllers.

Can I plug in lights off this

Hi, whilst I have never usd them for this, it will depend on what voltage youwillbe putting into it and what voltage the lighs will take
