Well-built car charger that comes with convenient automated sensing arms that retract to securely hold the phone in place. There is a versatile vent mount, and an arm with a suction base for vehicles like mine that need the phone projected out further from the dash. It does a fast charge according to the phone, but my case is fairly thick, and that did slow charging approximately 15% over a 15W plugin charger. Unfortunately, this is unusable for a Galaxy S9+ unless you disable the screen from shutting off. The S9+ sits too low in the cradle to access the fingerprint reader. I see that was my fault, though, as their product description starts with the larger S10. Those larger phones might even charge faster with the same case thickness. Follow the instructions and clean the dash for a secure and permanent suction mount. This will make a great gift!

This phone charging car mount is great for long trips when you've got your phone on constant GPS. The arms that hold the phone automatically adjust to grip the phone, but they only work when the car is turned on to provide power to the USB cord that connects the mount to a USB port. The suction mount did not work for us - although it might have worked on the windshield. We decided to use the mount that clips to the dashboard vent. This mount worked better for us, and we're pretty pleased with it so far.

Using the suction mount - won’t use vent mount as it’s winter. I blast the heat and directions state “Do not place this product near a heat source.” Suction will NOT work on textured surfaces, must be completely smooth (first photo is texture of dashboard of Honda odyssey that I could not use the suction on; second photo show the completely smooth surface it does suction well to). Sturdy, easy to install, charges surprisingly fast, you can see the arms adjusting to find the sweet spot to charge. Was able to keep my phone attached even on bumpy roads.Annoying part is holder arms close once you remove your phone. When you return to your vehicle, you cannot open the arms to place your phone in the holder until your car is turned on. I would prefer to be able to have the phone in the arms, even if not locked, before I turn the car on. It seems to function like power windows, you have a finite amount of time once the vehicle is off to reopen the arms without needing to turn the vehicle on again.

I'm using the vent clip for the holder and it is holding up pretty good. It's basically a tripod with a hook that you turn the knob to retract until it is tight against the tripod. It holds very well if you get the latch onto the vent, but the holder itself sticks out quite a bit compared to other vent holders. I didn't take a star away for this, but it does make tapping the phone's screen a little more uncomfortable since it sticks out further and it rattles more if you are on a bumpy road.As far as the charging goes, it doesn't keep my phone at 100%, which is better for the phone's battery life, and at the same time, I'm not in fear that it isn't charging fast enough that my phone may drop down to 0%. It typically keeps my phone in the 60's to 80's% while I'm using my rideshare app.The clamp opens up once you power on your car and it automatically closes when you power off. When it senses your phone charging, it will adjust your phone to its optimal vertical position to charge and the clamp will automatically close to hold the phone in place.Overall, I'd give it a 8.5-9 out of 10. Not perfect, but very usable and better than several other phone holders I've had in the past.

The media could not be loaded.  This phone holder is fun but let me back up... It comes with 2 ways to install this in your car, 1 for the car vent and 1 for suction (along with a USB type c cord). There is no plug so you might need one of them if your car does not have a usb portBoth the suction and the vent holders are pretty sturdy. The vent has a little hook that attaches to the vent from the inside and tightens. The suction holder has a long adjustable arm so you can place it in many places while still having good access to the phone. The suction is pretty decent but will not work if the surface isn't smooth. I've been driving around with it for about a week with varying temperatures in the car... the suction is still holding on and hasn't fallen or faltered while driving.Here comes the fun part... when you turn the car on and place the phone on the holder.. it gets transformers-funky and adjusts itself to the wireless area on the back of the phone. (I have a Samsung 22 ultra) and it's been a joy watching this thing move up and down to find the spot. There are buttons on the unit to release the phone.When you shut off the car, the holder closes up. Could be a bit of a drawback for some as you have to wait for the car to be on before you can put it in the holder.Quick tip... make sure the holder is tipped back just a little so the phone can rest... too straight it'll fall out while trying to adjust itself.Nice charger with some fun techie stuff built in :-)

I use this charger with the vent clip, and it's the first one I've had with the support "kickstand". I like it. It opens and closes well, and holds the phone securely. It's only opened once when I didn't mean it to - which is better than the other chargers I've used. I like the release button.The only problem I have is that it goes through the same height search every time. IMO it should remember the last position, and not search again unless it doesn't sense the power transfer. I have to hold the phone in place while it moves up and down every time until it closes. Doesn't take long, and isn't really a big deal, but still - could be an improvement.Other than that, it looks nice, charges quickly, grips the phone, secures to the vent well, and is sturdy. Very happy with it.

I had high hopes for this but after trying it in 3 different cars and it doing exactly the same thing I’m going to say that it’s crapToday I used it to hold my phone so I could use Waze to navigate somewhere well while on the motorway the stand decided that it wasn’t going to grip the phone anymore and opened the grip therefore my phone fell onto the gear knob smashing the screen so no definitely would not recommend this to anyone

Used as instructed with the stick function only it immeadiatly fell off when I placed my phone in it (samsung s21 ultra) and then wouldn't sick back up
