Heaven Official's Blessing: Season 1 [Blu-ray]

Love this show, purchased this on a whim then ended up purchasing the entire Novel, all eight Volumes because just had to know more. Gorgeous animation, nuanced character animation, beautiful soundtrack, great story, both English dub and Mandarin dub are enjoyable, the English dub for this is very nice, kudos to Jerry Jewel for excellent direction. After so used to experiencing Anime, was surprised how much the Mandarin was enjoyed. Admittedly, reading the Glossary at the back of Novels really does help keep all the characters and their multiple names straight ^_^. Discovered this show through Anime content, interviews with English dub cast, Crunchyroll, and Aniplex Online Fest, but the Japanese dub is not included on this blu ray, this show is Original Donghua, Chinese Animation. Highly recommend.

This is without a doubt the highest quality box set I've ever had in my life. The cardboard box sleeve is thick and has beautiful shiny gold and butterflies on it. The acrylic charm and bookmarks in the box were in perfect condition with no creases or scratches. The art book has bright colorful images and beautiful art in addition to a little q and a with the voice actors for Hua Cheng and Xie Lian. The discs inside were in perfect condition without so much as a smudge on them. The box set was packaged very safely in two layers of bubble wrap in a box that was very securely taped up. I can't express just how thrilled I am with this set and if I could I would give it 100 stars out of 5.

LOVE this set. The anime itself has good English voice acting and stays very loyal/accurate to the novel, with only a little more exaggeration on the romance and a tiny bit of plot change (mostly to shorten a not as important part and adding a flashback that isn't addressed until the end of book 2) and a gorgeous art style. Season 1 revolves and ends with the first novel. At the time of this review, be aware that season 2 has not been fully confirmed yet, and there is a legal issue involving Xie Lian's Chinese VA, so sadly the series is currently up in the air.

What love should be like.

I absolutely love this show!! I love the story and I'm very happy to own the first season. The discs come subbed in its original mandarin and English dubbed with the option to not turn on the subtitles as well. I'm very disappointed season 2 isnt in its original mandarin I hope they change that soon so I can own it.

I bought this edition mostly for love of this series, it was my gateway into the genre when I appeared on crunchyroll and later Netflix. The story is ambitious and it helps if you've read the novels in terms of picking up on the more subtle hints and details. This first season covers the first novel which I also recommend. The animation is gorgeous the characters are engaging. The story is fine by itself but it is better appreciated if you're familiar with the book or manhua.

Hermoso set de blurays, a must have para la colección, pero lastima de la paquetería debieron enviar más protegidos los discos, solo venían envueltos en un plástico delgado y lo metieron en un sobre de papel sin protección adecuada y por ese motivo llego dañada una de las cajas. El producto es de 5 estrellas o más, pero la paquetería deja mucho que desear.

A must have for any TGCF fan. New item. Was still completely sealed. Arrived pretty fast. The box with the gift items was a bit banged up, but luckily the beautiful blue ray and dvd box holder was perfect.

If you like the novels, then this is for you.
