Revenue Management for the Hospitality Industry

This is a very good textbook for anyone who is new to the subject. The authors build up the reader's knowledge step-by-step through many examples, including ones taken from real life. There are also some exercises at the end of the chapters for the reader to practice his/her newly acquired knowledge.The only weakness I found is that the explanations are rather lengthy. This book could have been written in half the volume with the same amount of information.

The book covers close to the entire area of revenue management so ideal for reference or the study of RM. Details of definitions and case studies are abundant.The one issue is for the English reader where the context of the book is American. And the americanisms show..

This book is great for beginners, however for a 3rd year hospitality student I think there are a lot of unneccesary pages of explaining simple stuff like what money is or an FOM. Otherwise great book for people like me who are not that great at math.
