if i cover my walls with these and foam acoustic panels will it reduce noise leaving my room?

yes but not really well - I used two/three layers of these in my shed that I was trying to soundproof for music practice and it was less than without but still not good. Then lined the inside with acoustic plasterboard and all solid interfaces got "green glue" - thats what made the difference. Its not perfect but is Ok for that far down the garden. Don't forget to insulate the floor too as sound travels that way quickly

Can gripper rods be later on top of this. I’m using for sound proofing. Under carpet underlay as well?

Two layers of gripper one on top of the other bang the spikes down with a hammer on the bottom row it works fine I am a carpet fitter and have done this lots of times
