These do exactly what they say. They trap the dirt at the bottom of the bucket enabling you to be confident that when you wash your car it wont get scratched.

I'd searched the answers for the fitment in the good old Meg's yellow buckets and couldn't get clarity on the fitment as lots of reviews say they don't fit all wash buckets. Received mine and it was unscathed, no damage, all holes punched out correctly, basically, it's perfect and to top it off, it fits like a glove in the Meg's buckets sitting approx 1.5'' from the bottom and fits snuggly where I have to tap the bottom of the bucket to dislodge it so I doubt it'll float upwards when filled with water/shampoo.

Handy grit guard that fits meguiars' buckets. Can't say there is much to any grit guard - seemingly just stops you scooping dirt up from the bottom of the bucket. However this one seems a cut above the rest - I can see the cone-shape design preventing any dirt being kicked back up since there is very little opening available vs basic mesh designs.

This works much better than a traditional grit guard at trapping dirt. I use the two bucket method and then rub the wash mitt/pad on the cyclones which appears to use magic to remove dirt from the wash pad and trap it safely out of the way. Having seen how much dirt was removed, I'll never use a bucket without one again!

Awesome product, fit perfectly into the chemical guys bucket. Once the car has been washed and emptied the bucket, the dirt gets trapped at the bottom of the bucket underneath the grit trap, couldn’t be more pleased!
