Poor quality on digital displays
I purchased this as I wanted to play games across both of my monitors and my GeForce GX480 does not support this facility and one screen is always blank. First of all the positive is that it works well when playing the game. Unfortunately that's where the good news ends! The Powerdesk software seems very buggy and caused my computer to crash and even blue screen once (first time on Windows 7 x64), also it's worth noting that although you have digital inputs for the monitors the interface to the computer is in fact a VGA plug? This means that when running at the top resolution (which is crystal clear using DVI right from the graphics card) is slightly blurred and was very quickly giving me a headache, adjusting the monitors did not help with this. This is not the solution I was after and have had to send it back for a refund as it's (to me anyway) not a "true" digital interface, rather it's analogue that then converts to digital... why not just give it a digital interface to the PC I see the triple head digital does?

Matrox Dualhead2go
I have had the DualHead2Go now for 2 months and couldn't do without it - in fact I'm considering buying the TripleHead2Go.It plugs simply into the VGA output of my laptop. This either allows me to close the laptop and have 2 monitors working from it, or, my preference is to have the laptop working as one monitor and the 2 other monitors as a second and third viewing platform. This means I can have a reference item (Internet / Dictionary / Open Directory) on one of the side monitors, a further internet connection (email?) on the other side monitor, and the main document I am working on in the centre. Do note that although my preference is to work on the centre monitor, I could use any of the three available monitors as my work area.A real example of what I do is: I place Photoshop on the central monitor, I put other relevant photos that I may be using soon on an edge monitor and an internet connection with an open FTP ready to transfer the finished photo to the site of my choice on the third monitor.OR: right now I am typing this review on the central monitor, on the left monitor is the open internet connection to Matrox, while I ponder buying the TripleHead2Go, and on the right is an empty monitor containing a clock interface as I need to keep an eye on the time for an impending appointment.DO NOTE: the 2 extension monitors are just that - extensions!! To hold separate items I need to resize applications to fit nicely on to each. If I expand any items - it will stretch across both extension monitors - I only use this option for viewing large photos or using MEDIA PLAYER in the graphics mode. Once you get used to resizing the items they will fit automatically back to where you placed them after closing them.ALSO NOTE: the monitors I use are very different (in age and resolution) and the DualHead2GO allows this completely - the images on each is different - 1 is a wide screen and the other is older and smaller. The views on each is very acceptable to the quality of the monitors - the latest one is very bright and sharp so I use that as my main working area.

I needed this for my flight simulator.
I was so looking forward to using this with a triple screen set up for my flight simulator. It would not cope with 2 x 32" led TVs.I sent it back.

Forget it if you have high quality equipment
I guess for low res(cheap monitors and graphics card) it is good, but high res u are lucky if it stays up for 15 min great disappointment, returned it

Great piece of kit - be prepared to fiddle with the set up!
It took me about 15-20 minutes to get the setup right, but once sorted, what a great piece of kit.My wife has a gorgeous 27" Apple Thunderbolt display - but for £890 you pay for it!For the same price you could buy- the Matrox at £165- a double monitor stand at £55 (http://www.amazon.co.uk/MDM05-Monitor-Stand-Swivel-clamp/dp/B001H2TODY/ref=pd_sim_computers_1)- and have £670 to spend on two monitors, which is way more than you'd need.I will never go back to a single display.Already planning a move to triple display...

not a good solution for digital interfaces
Although the concept is a good one, there are a few limitations with this product.I connected this thing to 2*24 inch monitors and I was very disappointed with the quality of the output. Although it can handle the resolution, the picture quality isn't very sharp. On top of that, it turns your 2 monitors into a single monitor which is useless for watching movies as media players such as VLC will play the movie across both monitors in full screen mode.Stay away if you wish to have 2 seperate flat screen monitors attached to this device. Instead, get a graphics card with 2 dvi outputs or if you have a laptop, then get a usb to dvi connector. However, the usb to dvi connector merely copies the pixels in your graphics buffer and outputs it to the usb device. This will cause the slower computers to have a relatively high cpu usage when watching movies and may even make them jitter.

Very simple to use - it does what it says
It really is plug and play. This model has 2 DVI-I outputs which means that you can connect it to digital or analog inputs

excellent product
Very nice build . Very happy with the purchase, definitely recommend to others, clear slit to both monitor and easy setup.
