I received a similar bag as a gift and I love it, so decided to get this one for my sister. The selling point for me in choosing this bag was the detachable shoulder strap.I packed lots of small birthday goodies in it and it worked great for that, but there’s no bottom support so didn’t put anything heavy in it. The shoulder strap and decorative ribbon were just crammed into the bag, so they came out heavily creased. I was able to steam and iron most out but the deeper ones are still evident. Hopefully they flatten out with use. The zippers move smoothly, and the carry straps are well sewn in. The shoulder strap attaches with metal clasps that are easy to snap on and off. The embroidery is very well done. Just as a note to anyone considering this bag for the beach, there’s a 1” gap at either end when zipped, between the top and sides. So, it’ll keep out some sand and water but not all.I was hoping my sister would be able to use this bag for travel but without the support, it won’t hold her laptop, binders, & files without bowing out on the bottom. I also didn’t like having to do so much work to get the ribbon and shoulder strap looking good enough to give this bag as a gift. But I’m sure my sister will find other uses for it.

This was the fifth one I have purchased as a gift. I put a bottle of wine and a bouquet of flowers on top for birthdays.
