Cardinal Gates Extension for Stairway Special Gate and Auto Lock Gate, Black 10.5 "

I needed an insert for the outside gate I purchased for our deck to keep the dog safe. Perfect and easy to install.

This gate extension works great and is easy to install. The only trouble is if your dogs scratch at the gate, over time the bolts will get loose and require tightening.

They should include lock washers with this extension. They should also add some bushings to the extension so that you can tighten it really tight without distorting the metal. I personally didnt over tighten but some people will and the bushings could keep them from damaging the gate. This gate fit my cardinal stair gate perfect. I had no issues with it other than knowing that I will have to keep an eye on the bolts. Probably pick up lock washers next trip to hardware store. But for the money that they ask for the extension I shouldnt have to pick stuff up. All in all very happy once i got it installed.

Needed to use the extension since the top of the stairs is too wide for the standard gate. Is very happy either the quality and sturdiness of the extension as well as the extension plus the gate. Very happy.

This is the extender worked great! Put it on my apt balcony for my kiddo to play safely. Easy to install.

It matched the gate adequately. Buy this extension when you need it to operate like a conventional door. I bought one from a large pet store and the extension on it made the gate open in the middle.

this has been great for extending the gate on our deck. I was worried it would weaken the gat but it hasn't and I have three big dogs....
