Hi Savannah, Honeycombs was originally made from bamboo. However, it is currently produced in urea plastic which is very strong, durable and beautiful. The tiles feel great in your hand and will last a lifetime. Thank you for your interest in Honeycombs. Holly

Where is it manufactured?

Canada I think and they are very good about customer service questions (mine was missing the instructions and they got it to me promptly as well as answering questions I had). If you are ordering it now, even if made in China, chances are that it was manufactured long before Covid 19 was around.
