4L Water Distiller, White

I recently purchased the Distilled Water Machine, and it has exceeded all my expectations. Perfect, well made does the job. Runs fairly quiet, great shut in one room in the winter as it adds a lovely welcoming heat. Great value for money. Easy to use. Never used the plastic water catcher as we already have a glass one and would highly recommend that.

I bought this to fuel my thirsty steam generator iron. I worked out it is cheaper to distill my own water than buy expensive distilled water from Amazon. I appreciate that I've bought a very cheap distiller, and would not intend to drink the water that it produces, so I do not mind the plastic collecting container rather than a glass one offered in more expensive versions. If I intended to drink the water I would definitely buy a more expensive one. The product works exactly as described. It will distill 4L of tap water in about 4 hours. I was very surprised how quiet it is. I am able to let it run at night with cheap electricity without it disturbing anyone. It automatically cuts off once the water is distilled, and in the morning you have 4L of nice cool distilled water. After the first use I noticed an immediate 'calc' build-up inside the unit. It was easy to wipe clean as there are no exposed elements. It will need regular cleaning with an acidic agent, but I live in a VERY hard water area and essentially what is left in the bottom of the until is what you are distilling out of the water - so no complaints there. I will need to use this about once a month, and am a little concerned about the activated carbon 'tea bags' that filter their water before it drips in the holder. I've not yet sourced replacements, and so not sure of the ongoing cost, and the instructions say to replace each month. Will have to look into that. After first use (they say discard the water from first distill) the tube that drips the water into the container had a little black dust at the outlet - no doubt from the carbon filter. This doesn't bother me at all because I'm not going to drink this water - but it may concern some people. As long as this distiller lasts a good few years, I will be happy. If it breaks I will return to amend my review!

The product itself is good. Evri were delayed repeatedly without a good reason. I contacted customer services and they responded quickly and prioritised my order, which resolved the issue within a day. Thank you!

I have run 4 distilling cycles. The water still smells and tastes like burning rubber. I purchased this to remove contaminants from my water however this machine is adding contaminants. There is no way I can continue using this machine. I have contacted the seller. If they contact me and resolve this issue by way of a refund I will update this review accordingly. If they do not then I will be sure to add this also to prevent others buying it and not having contact from the seller UPDATE The company have refunded me for this product. Thank you

Great for producing distilled water for my CPAP machine. The auto cut-off is great and means I can distil a full container of water over-night once a week.

Bought as a replacement for a much pricier version with LED temperature adjustment which quickly developed a fault which meant the steam ended up turning the kitchen into a sauna rather than as water in the jug. In reality that just looked better with the little number screen but there is no point to changing the temperature to what it is originally set at anyway. This has been in daily use since it was bought and has worked effortlessly. I have found using a timer socket set to 3 hours saves mine boiling dry and baking the scale on to the inside, thus making it easier to clean. With regard to cleaning i have always wished there was a way that the actual metal water chamber could be removed and cleaned, rather than taking the whole unit to the sink, but i imagine for safety sakes it is better the way it is than opening up the possibility of customers severely burning or electrocuting themselves! I would definitely opt for this again in the future rather than a more expensive version with add-on cosmetic special effects
